We are probably not TTC for at least 6 months – 1 year, so we are doing our bucket list trip to Japan and I plan on drinking alllllllll the red wine and eating as much seafood as I can lay my grubby little mits on! lol

You can still eat soft cheese as long as it’s pasteurized. Most cheese available in a regular grocery store in the US is fine.

The only thing I’d say is travel. You can still do it after kids, but it definitely puts a damper on the things you can or even want to do.

The time to myself man.  Seriously.  I can’t even sit down before someone needs something.  Also I really enjoyed being able to clean and not have two little hurricanes come behind me and destroy everything

pinkcorsage :  I don’t even bother cleaning until after my kid is in bed. That way I do it once and then I can sit and enjoy it for the evening!

If I was going to Japan I’d go to all the best sushi places, have locals tell you their non touristy favorites and let the sushi chefs make some of their favorite rolls for you, especially if they are off the menu

Take a bomb ass vacation. Mine is 11 and I still want to take that dream vacation we never have. Problem is, no matter what, they’ll  wanna go and you’ll wanna take them. Sleeping until noon, running around naked and drinking like you’re in college won’t fly with a kid.

Also, sleep. Lots and lots of sleep.

I’m with Twizbe :. Enjoy the sex while it’s still fun. Especially if you’re going to be getting into tracking/charting. Trust me sex easily becomes a “chore” cause you HAVE to get it done during those few certain days. Even when you aren’t feeling up to it.

rainbowduckie :  currently 4 months pregnant and all I want today is raw cookie dough and an ahi poke bowl.

I’ve also been wanting eggs Benedict which we aren’t supposed to have due to uncooked eggs in the hollandaise and undercooked poached eggs.

Sad days.

rainbowduckie :  I have a 5 month old and people said “go to dinner!”, “go to the movies”, “have a getaway”, “enjoy going to the supermarket by yourself!”.

I remember feeling pressured in the last weeks of pregnancy to go do all these things for the last time when I actually just wanted to rest.

I will say that dinner/movies is very tricky (we have been to dinner once since bub was born) but I don’t mind because we can do dinner/movies at home. We did go like three times in the last week before bub was due!

The best advice that I took was planning a kick arse getaway with my partner. I was heavily pregnant and we were traipsing around wine country, so I kinda wish we did it BEFORE I was pregnant, but absolutely relish the time you have just you two. You will never be just you two ever again. And that’s awesome cause you’ll have an adorable little sweetie but you will never regret investing time in your relationship.

So do some travel and have an adventure if you can. And drink all the wine. And enjoy hot baths and wearing clothes that aren’t maternity. Enjoy wearing sexy bras! Enjoy wearing complete outfits! My partner came home to me today in one of his t shirts and no pants. I WAS wearing pants at some point but I think they got covered in something baby related. I was wearing shoes though because I have dodgy feet! So it was a very attractive look. T shirt and orthopaedic shoes and no pants. 😊😊
