I won’t need this for awhile yet but I’m keeping an eye on it since I want mine to be natural as well ๐Ÿ™‚

Yes, new moms please post!

(I watched that documentary on “The Business of Being Born” and I do remember a midwife saying something like, women are taught to fear the pain. Someone should be there to tell them that it’s a productive pain and it has meaning. I don’t know whether that will be helpful for me when I actually give birth, but I’m keeping it in mind!)

@runsyellowlites:  I’m going to go look for that book today–I plan on going pain-med free (in about a month!) and laboring at home as long as possible so any advice is helpful! Also, thanks for sharing that about the low humming. Breathing techniques didn’t help me with my first (which I decided to get an epidural).

I’m so interested in reading advice and tips so please, share!! I posted a thread on HB about needing reassurance about natural child birth and someone recommended hypnobabies so I think I might try to have that playing on my phone during labor

Thank you for posting this!  I’m still a little bit away from even being pregnant, but I definitely want to go without medication and this will be so helpful!
