I grew up in NJ and now live in  PA I didn’t even know what AMES was till Icame here. Sometimes its hard to think about where I’m from, even thoough i love where i am now, sometimes I miss those little things too πŸ™‚

I’m living in Boston, now, and I also miss Taco John’s! Mostly, though, I miss my favorite Des Moines places (lived there the whole time I was in IA).

@jalaamarie: My Fiance and I both went to Drake. πŸ™‚ Do you guys go to Django when you visit him? If not, I highly recommend it  . . . though it’s not exactly cheap or anything. It was one of my favorite spots!

I went to Iowa State and miss Ames all the time! It’s such a huge change going back now with all the new buildings.  I was in the COD all the time and now the practice field next to it is gone and covered with a new building!

I miss West Street Deli like no one would know, so delicious and smells amazing just walking by!

I’m going to a wedding there in September and it will be so fun to walk around campus again!

Go Cyclones!

Now listen, there’s more to Iowa than Ames!! HAHA…Says the Hawkeye πŸ˜‰ I grew up in the Quad Cities, and it’s funny cause I was just thinking today about what I miss! We moved to Michigan, north of Detroit…and while it’s beautiful, it’s not home. I miss HyVee too!! ESPECIALLY HyVee Chinese Food!!! Also, I miss Hungry Hobo and taco pizza!! (Why is it all food?! Bad, very bad!). Randomly, I can’t find diet cream soda either, which just ticks me off!
