I don’t like when people think just because your wedding isn’t exactly like their wedding its somehow less worthy. There’s something called individuality and if you can’t appreciate other people’s traditions or visions of what THEIR perfect day is then you don’t need to comment. Constructive criticism and the use of the word “tacky” are two different things. Whose “tradition” am I suppose to be following anyway?

It’s a bit annoying when people comment on threads that are really old. If their wedding date was over a year ago I’m pretty sure they don’t need help choosing the perfect dress or which centerpiece to go with. I’m just sayin….

@reinab505: I hate seeing posts with no replies too! lol I’ve posted comments just so they won’t feel bad maybe. You’re not alone!

totally agree that it’s annoying when people comment on really old posts.

I’m totally guilty of it though. I sometimes forget to check and then respond to something that’s loooooong gone.

And then I feel like balls.

It drives me insane that there is no spell check function! I don’t know how many times I have gone back and edited a post because I re-read it after posting and think “GAWD I sound like an idiot!”

Like @smyley, I get annoyed when people don’t read a  thread before responding.  Even worse is when they point out that they hadn’t read it!   A lot of times people will elicit details from the OP throughout the thread, especially when the OP gives a long, drawn out story.  Nothing irritates me more than posters coming in and asking those same questions repeatedly because they were too lazy to read the thread before responding.  You really don’t need to tell us you haven’t read the thread, chances are your response is making it pretty obvious.

@lezlers: The edit button and I are best friends!  Laughing I just don’t like that you can’t spell check before you submit the original post. I am OCD about grammar, spelling and punctuation and I’m always afraid that someone will see my post, and misspellings, before I get done with the edit.

“Oops, you are moving too fast”.

Sorry if I’m a talented typer haha.

But yeah – can we delete our own posts? Please?

@nqz100:  If you use Mozilla Firefox, you can right click in the text box before you hit submit and select ‘Check Spelling’ and it’ll put a red squiggly line under the misspelled items.

Ok…so I know thus us a dumb thing to get mad at and that people have their reasons for doing it…but it irks me when someone creates a new account to post something anonymously. Don’t know why…it just annoys me.

That kills me too!  I don’t understand the purpose behind it.  It’s an anonymous message board. Unless you know a bunch of people personally on here, why would you have to go all super-duper anonymous?   Do you think people on here actually care enough to go all super slueth, figure out your identity and come stalk you?

@Loribeth: yes, I hate it when the OP posts a response that only says, “bump!”

Yes divergirl, I would have to agree with you there. It’s awesome to get opinions and advice from the hive but there is such a thing as too much of a good thing.

@divergirl: Yes, this has gotten a little excessive, especially the past few days!  Tongue out
