You know those little things your baby does that melts your heart? I’m in a particularly gushy mood, so I think we should share them. π
Addie hasn’t taken a pacifier since she was a couple weeks old, so she’s never really comfort sucked. Instead, she “comfort licks.” When we’re rocking her to sleep, we give her a little stuffed animal she can lick until she falls asleep. It’s the funniest thing!
Also, my husband taught her to stick out her tongue when she was about 1.5 months old. Now, she sticks it out all the time, at anyone and everyone nearby. When people stick their tongue out back at her, she gets so excited and starts wriggling around and smiling like crazy. Sooooooo cute!

Aww that’s too cute! My nephew is turning 5 this month, it seems like yesterday he was Addie’s age! I miss his cute baby antics, but he’s just as adorable as a 5 year old. π

So sweet (and clever)! I’m coming up blank right now on heart melters… but I do think it’s sweet when Ceci reaches out her arms to be picked up when she sees me. (It’s a new skill).

Oh, DG, that’s so sweet! Addie’s definitely not there yet, but I heard that babies start understanding how to give affection (hugs and kisses, etc…) at 6 months. I am really looking forward to that stage!

My daughter will be 18 months on the 28th and she just started a new thing and i loooooooooove it! When Fiance and I are sitting or standing next to each other she puts one arm around my neck and her other arm around his neck and makes all 3 of us hug π and she WONT let us go few like a few minutes haha. it melts my heart so much bc Fiance is not her “real” father but she loves him like he is π

MB is also getting to the age where she reaches her arms out to be picked up. I’m always like Awwww! She also giggles with Darling Husband (JEALOUS! Only with him, NO ONE else!) I know this is weird, but she also holds my boob when she’s eating. Like “stay right here Mommy, I’m hungry!” That really does melt my heart!

I can’t wait till K recognizes me or holds his arms out to me!
So far my moments are that he just started conciously laying his head on my shoulder and holding on with his hands, so it feels like hes hugging when you pick him up now.
Also this smile when you talk to him…He loves being talked to and sometimes he will stop feeding and just look up at me with this smile and start “talking” then go back to eating.

@ justeen– That is adorable. I found a onesie at Target for my SIL for her baby shower that said “My aunt is my BFF”. I loved it and can’t wait to see it on my niece when she gets here!!
