Wow! Some of these are pretty funny πŸ™‚ I had a whole slew of things go wrong, but I was determined to remain calm and enjoy my day–and so I did!

1) I forgot to bring the hair flowers I purchased for my updo. Last minute solution–I pulled a flower out of my bouquet and stuck it up there instead.

2) I forgot my great grandma’s brooch as my “something old.” I’m actually still a little sad about this one, but I didn’t let it ruin my day.

3) My Mother-In-Law said she was getting a navy blue dress (my bridesmaids were in cobalt blue). She showed up in a cobalt blue dress that almost exactly matched the bridesmaids. I was a little tiffed at first, but what the heck–she looked beautiful and I’m sure no one else noticed or cared.

4) I woke up that morning with a small zit forming on my cheek. It was one of those “smallish in the morning, explodes by afternoon” types. In my beauty shots after the ceremony, of course that cheek was the one facing the camera. Photoshop to the rescue!

5) We got stuck in traffic and were late getting to the reception. Then, when we got there, my girls threw my bustle up in about two minutes, we rushed down to get introduced…and realized that three of our bridal party members were not there yet. We almost walked into the room without one of the groomsmen. Yikes!

6) After the delay, we really had to start food service right away, but the toasts were first….aaaand the best man procedes to give a fifteen minute long speech. *faceplant*

7) My husband pulled the keepsake garter off my leg instead of the toss garter. Later, I told him he threw out the wrong one, so he went to the guy and exchanged it. But the guy who caught it was wearing it on his head all night…(can you wash organza???)

8) I got about three bites of my dinner down before my stomach started hurting, and continued to hurt the entire night. It might have been because I hadn’t eaten since breakfast, but I do also have IBS, so who knows. Regardless, I didn’t want to drink, didn’t even want to eat anything from our beautiful dessert table and chocolate fountain. I was in pain and don’t even know how I kept dancing. That really sucked because I know the food there is delicious and I wanted to enjoy the open bar too lol.

Despite all this, there were a lot of things that went right. I mean, I did marry my best friend! I still maintain that our wedding was the best wedding ever πŸ™‚

@Genuine513:  Oh no! This always happens to me! It was actually one of the reasons I decided not to wear a necklace…lol.

@ElwoodBlues:  I had the exact same thing happen! πŸ™‚ While my girls were bustling my dress, they were getting all of these bugs out of it!

@star_dust:  We were afraid this happened! We were on our honeymoon and I realized  that I wasn’t sure where my letter from him was… But we found it when we got home – phew!

@Bichon Frise:  Yes, no shows were frustrating for me too… :/

We showed up late to the reception… I guess pictures took longer than we expected (we did think afterwards about a couple places where we lost time)… So dinner started late… Oh well πŸ™‚ No biggie cuz we had a cocktail hour πŸ™‚

“Second, instead of reading “I Carry You in my Heart,” DH’s brother in law read the lyrics to “That’s Amore”… you know, “When the moon hits your eye like a big pizza pie…”  NOT HAPPY!!!!!!!!!!!  Still not happy.  Still pissed.  That fucker is gonna get it some day!!!!!  (He totally did it just to mess with us.  He told us that.)”.

THAT!!!!! just struck me as funny! Then when you said “that fu!ker is gonna get it some day”, I lost it. LMAO! Not laughing at you, but at the situation. It’s the way that you described it that got me laughing.

The bustle on my dress broke right before my first dance with my hubby.  I didn’t realize this until after the song though and kept wondering why I couldn’t dance.  Well, obviously it was because I was drowning in a ton of fabric.  I ended up using the loop that didn’t break and put it around my wrist to hold my dress up for the rest of the night.  It didn’t look as pretty as the bustle would have, but who cares??

1. Our wedding cake fell apart. We got our one bite and the rest crumbled into dust.

2. We forgot the broom and guest book

3. My cousin’s boyfriend lit all 3 candles in our unity candle

4. We were introduced as the “Grossmans” – we are the ROSSMANS

5. The DJ forgot the cd with our first dance music on it so we had to randomnly pick a song.

6. The aisle runner was still in the packaging so hubs has to cut it during the ceremony πŸ˜›

Lots of things went wrong, lol. I kept saying “I don’t care! I’m married” πŸ˜›

@Alleycat:  i cant eat gluten, lactose or onion and whilst our chef knows this and I had no issues with the tastings, I am super nervous about my stomach playing up! Its probably the one thing that is concerning me the most!

My bridesmaid’s husband had told us that he would videotape our ceremony. I made sure to get the best sd card and we were pretty excited to get it all on tape.  10 minutes before the ceremony was supposed to start, I was told that her husband was lost getting to the venue but not to panic. 10 minutes later I was told that we’d wait another 10 minutes to see if he’d show up. After those 10 minutes, my amazing photographers told me that one of them would switch to videotaping the ceremony since my BM’s husband was still nowhere to be found. After getting pictures taken, I found out that the police had been called because her husband was still missing, and hadn’t been answering his phone for the past hour. Everyone was super worried for him. Finally he called my bridesmaid during dinner. The police had shown up at his house where he was and he wanted to know who called the police. Apparently he got super lost and instead of asking for directions, he got mad, gave up and went home. Then at about 10:30 he showed up at the venue to pick up my Bridesmaid or Best Man in a tshirt and shorts. I’m just thankful for my photographers who stepped up and didn’t even charge anything more to get the video.

I’ll get back to this when I have a bit of time. Although I’m not at the point of finding this funny yet.

i haven’t had mine yet, but at my parent’s wedding the videographer’s camera battery went halfway through the ceremony!

to make up for it, he filmed the reception, but also got them to walk around outside and he’d film them there, too.

only thing was – it was on a busy main road and there are my parents walking on a tiny pavement and lorries and vans were going past beeping their horns!

was a brilliant thing to watch on their 25th anniversary. so funny.
