For me, the number one thing is abortion. I just can’t watch (Revolutionary Road, Enter the Void I had to leave the room)
I also am really bothered by scenes of rape and any animal being hurt. And anything to do with eyes being affected…and needles…
How about you all?

Pretty much anything graphic like you mentioned. I don’t like gore.

I looooove horror movies but anything where an animal is being tortured makes me feel gross.
In regards to people though, generally anything involving heads. I cannot stand decapitation/ anything where people’s heads are severed… especially when it’s not in one single “slice”, (like watching someone hack away at someone’s neck) makes me physically ill. Or anything with eyes or skin removal, like scalping. Yuck! Those are about the only times you’ll see me cringing or closing my eyes during a scary movie!

Gore. I don’t do horror movies. Over the top action sequences with violent explosions & lots of flying metal & stuff. I don’t do super hero / fantasy movies.
Regular violence in a serious movie (drama) I can take to a point. I sometimes have to close my eyes.

Anything with torture, but particularly animals or kids.

Another one for dogs dying. I’m a mess.

-Animal torture / unnecessary deaths
-Eyes getting pushed in ala 28 days Later
-Nails or any other sharp object going through fingernails
-Cannabilistic mutilated things/people (The Decent gave me nightmares for a month)
-Unaturally twisted bodies walking down hallways or stairs

lyfe_girl : same! I had to leave the theater during I am legend when the dog got infected. Couldn’t handle it.
Any animal being hurt upsets me a lot bc the animal “actors” are often mistreated to react that way. Unlike human actors who can “act” it out, animals aren’t doing that.
There was a scene in a show my husband was watching where a cat was mutilated. I was half watching but when the cat started meowing I started screaming at my husband to turn off that demonic shit. Maybe an overreaction on my part, but I dont like that stuff at all.

Stuff with the eyes. I can usually handle gore but I have to look away. Someone mentioned nails and I think I have issue with that too (that Natalie Portman ballet film with the toenails 🤮).
