Pretty much everything mentioned on this thread (I’m a big baby!) – especially if an animal dies.  Adding, when someone’s significant other dies. ๐Ÿ™

lauralaura123 :  I can’t handle rape or torture scenes where the victim is absolutely helpless. I’m glad I’m not the only one who has these struggles lol

Violence against animals and children. Violence involving nails or eyes.

I can watch anything gory, scary or depressing but I don’t like when a movie is overly romantic or quirky. I struggle through movies like Amelie and The Shape of Water. I’ve always found it difficult to sit through a happy romance movie, as a teen I used to call them unrealistic but I think they just make me feel uncomfortable.

I can’t watch anything that is “religious horror.”  Movies with possession, demons, etc. freak me out big time!

Anyone ever see the very first episode of black mirror? The one where he f***s a pig? That kept me up at night I still can’t think about it.

People, especially children, crying or begging not to be hit or hurt… very triggering for me because of my childhood. Or injustice, even though most of the time it would be resolved by the end.

Not so much can’t stand but wish it wouldn’t happen in films: loud realistic screaming for help. Sometimes I wonder if I’d scream for help in real life and neighbours would just think I was watching TV!

I can’t handle when developementally or physically disabled charactered are bullied in movies (like the first act in Radio or Door to Door). Makes me too upset and hurt for the characters.

I don’t do anything remotely raunchy/sexual at all. No clue why it makes me uncomfortable but it does. I have a very healthy sex life with Darling Husband however I don’t want to watch other people whatsoever.

 Anything with animals dying.

DanaWeddingGuest :  I haven’t carried a purse in years (except on vacation). I have an ID holder on the back of my phone, don’t carry cash, and key goes in pocket or waistband.

Anything gory or explicitly violent! I hate scary movies. I can’t stand to see blood in any capacity, no needles, no war films, no stabbings, no heads being cut off, no weird eye shit

Anything where an animal is hurt or killed, include me out. I just can’t take it. And I avoid torture horror movies

I love the concept of the butterfly effect(small changes in your life that can make a huge impact on your future), but I cannot watch The Butterfly Effect with Ashton Kutcher because I read that there’s a scene where a dog is tortured. It’s a shame because it sounds like a movie I’d like but I know I would be traumatized by that one scene.

Speaking of traumatized, when I was a kid I couldn’t watch anything where someone dies of an illness. A major fear of mine is dying of some horrible disease, and when I was about 8 my mom and I watched an episode of Forensic Files about a little boy who got a horrible case of E. Coli from eating a tiny piece of raw hamburger. His organs were shutting down left and right, doctors didn’t know what to do, and he eventually had 7 surgeries. He did get better but I couldn’t bring myself to eat hamburger for 3 YEARS after watching that episode (and raw beef still causes me to wash my hands like a madman after use).
