Moissanite, stacking rings, dollar dances…I’m surprised how many people haven’t heard of bridal portraits!! I thought it was really common! Must just be a southern thing 🙂

So many things… Moissanite, bridal portraits, doing something cute to ask bridesmaids to be in the wedding, first look, dollar dances, any kind of bouquet other than one with flowers, dyed crinoline, making everything super personal, signature drinks, multiple dresses… I can’t think of them all!

@GFerg:  I think the hens’ and bucks’ nights are just used in other countries for bachelorette and bachelor parties. My Australian husband referred to his bachelor party as a “bucks’ night.”

There are so many! I’m assuming it’s mostly to do with what’s done in the US (born and raised in Australia).

Groom’s cake

First look/boudoir/bridal photos

Having more than one shower (we’d expect 1 hen’s night, that’s it. Don’t do showers at all here)

Dollar dances

That DIY isn’t always to save money

That people upgrade/change their engagement rings

Sweetheart table

Wedding websites

Escort cards

Honeymoon registries

And lots more. But I like learning about everyone’s traditions and it’s given me lots of ideas!

I think I’ve been more obsessed with weddings than I realized (I’ve also had a ton of friends get married in the last few years and I’ve been reading wedding blogs for a while) but the only things super new to me were Asha and Strassing. And midnight buffets!
