I got a short dress for my Destination Wedding so it packs easy and I dont have to worry about lugging around a big huge dress 🙂

I am wearing a traditional gown for our destination wedding.  I figure I only get one chance to do it the way I want so I wasn’t going to sacrifice and get a less traditional dress just because we are having a beach wedding.  Here is my dress.

If you are eloping, you could go for something that is on the simple side, without a huge train, tons of embellishments, or a huge skirt. Something that will travel well.  You could even consider a short dress. But really it’s up to you, and you could wear whatever you want.

I’m pretty set on a ball gown, but one without a train. I’m not crazy about trains anyway and I don’t want it to be giant, but I definitely want the ballgown. : D

My dress is a Tara Keely trumpet gown. It is tissue taffeta – so it is lightweight and should travel well. I will be getting it steamed once we get down there. I’m going to carry it on to the plane with me.
