We registered at Bed, Bath & Beyond for the usual stuff: small appliances, sheets, china, glassware, etc. But we also made an Amazon.com registry because we can put virtually anything on there! We registered for a couple of board games, a Logitech Harmony One remote, cookbooks, among other things. Plus you can use their universal registry feature to add items from any website.

My favorite kitchen item I registered for was an electric can opener. Lol. Kind of sad really. 😉 There are lots of cool things. My advice really is to just go do it. If there is something you see that you like, register. I hada  list and all kinds of things…and I didn’t use it. I gave up marking things off halfway through because it was annoying. Lol

We jokingly registered for these microfiber towels for the dogs (they have a paw print on them) – no way would I spent $12.99 a towel for my dog! Well, someone bought them, and I LOVE them.

I know someone that put dog toys on theirs – I would have never thought about that, but the pooch is part of the family 🙂

Electric Wine Opener. I registered for it because I thought it looked neat and it was on the cheaper side of things. It is my absolute favorite gadget!!! It’s so cool!

We are in the same situation. We are taking this oppurtunity to upgrade all of our basic kitchen utensils, like a can opener, potato peeler, zester,, etc. At about $18-25 a piece they are a great budget friendly gift. Also replacing our oven mits and towels. And I registered for a new serving platter.

I did register for and loved!

My Misto

Also, nice storage things for the kitchen (IE glass containers for sugar, flour, rice etc) it makes your cabinets much cleaner

My fav thing I got though was my small cuisinart. Its tiny, but perfect for soooo many things.

We registered for new bedroom pillows with that memory foam. Love them too!

I understand the feeling! After 4 years of living together I thought we didn’t need much. I created a wish list online since we’re not ready to register yet. Here are some of the things we want that we didn’t have after 4 years:

-wine glasses, basically all glassware except everyday glasses, nice towels & bedding, toaster, serveware, salad spinner, handheld vacuum, candleholders, storage containers, nice cookie sheets, and wine bottle opener.

Hopefully that gives you some ideas.

I didn’t register for a panini maker b/c I thought it was silly and I’d never use it. After the wedding I realized how many panini’s we eat, and how much money I could save by making my own so I bought one, and love it.

Two things you don’t absolutely need, but I love are:

A waffle maker (those frozen things will never ever compare to fresh waffles, think of it as a nice way to spend Sunday morning with your new hubby!) and

A popcorn popper that uses oil (just a tiny bit!!). I hate microwave popcorn. This makes fresh popcorn with no chemicals in a few minutes:

Believe it or not I felt really guilty when registering. It took the store clerk to put some sense in my head and explain to me that its a wishlist, the second time when I decided to go back after only having 20 items listed. She stated that this will probably be the only day EVER that people will be running to buy you stuff..exactly what you want. She told me just because we had nice pots and pans at home…so what…up grade them! Or just because we have towels…your going to get them anyway..its a typical wedding gift, so register for the really nice ones…

well we put things on our registry that I have never seen on others before.

matching beach cruisers, board games, tailgate games, ipad, and some other fun stuff. If we get them…great, if not…its a wishlist right?!

Oh my gosh so so many things I never thought about!  like we added a cooler, a step stool, picture frames, a shredder, a wii, an underwater digital camera, games, electric tooth brushes…

I hope this gives you some options!

We forgot to register for every day servingwere (as opposed to the stuff with the china) like platters and stuff. We lived together for a few years as well so the majority of stuff on our list were upgrades from things we already had.
