when they comment about your pet.
Darling Husband & I have two Siberian Huskies, so when we take them out, we get a lot of comments. I found these responses on a T-shirt and I wish I could carry it around with me all the time. Anyone that has/had a husky or knows about them will understand.
Before you ask, yes, the ARE Siberian Huskies, no they are NOT wolves.
NO, they are not going to bite you (I might, though)
YES, they are fully grown.
YES, they do come in all colors.
NO, they do not have blue eyes. NO, those that have blue eyes are NOT blind.
(my personal favorite that we hear all the time) – YES, they are walking me and I am not walking them. NO, their pulling is not lack of training and NO, they do not need “a bit of freedom off that lead.”
And finally, I’ve never heard that joke about the sled before.
So, does anyone else have any common questions or comments that people make when you are out with your pet that bugs you? Do you have a funny response you wish you could say to them?

We have a dachshund and everyone ALWAYS yells WEINER DOG and laughs profusely. It’s like “Yup, it’s a weiner dog, and that’s super hilarious!”

When my dog is wagging his tail frantically and smiling, his intentions aren’t to rip you apart. He just wants to say hi.
Don’t tell me my dog needs a muzzle when he’s peeing on a tree and your little purse dog is yelping at him and trying to bite his face off.

honestly it just irritates me when people arent knowledgable about dogs and make a bunch of idiot remarks (as if they know something) or do something to my dog that will obviously irritate him (ie: barge in and start being rough with him or annoy him in his sleep)
post pics of your pooches ! love huskies

I love when people are scared of my dog, who would only lick them to death. And really, if a 7 month pregnant woman can walk him and handle him, how scary could he be?

I can’t stand it when I’m walking my dog around the neighborhood on a leash and an unleashed dog runs across the street to “play” with my dog, and instead of coming to get their dog the owner yells “it’s ok- he’s friendly!”. Well my dog’s decidedly NOT friendly which is why I walk him on a leash. Come get your freakin dog before I have a lawsuit on my hands!

“He’s over a year old? But he’s SO SMALLLL! You need to feed him more!”
We got our lab puppy a little over a year ago, and he was born with a fatal liver condition that we spent $20,000+ correcting and it stunted his growth a bit but we saved his life. He can only have certain foods (no protein), in certain amounts, along with a ton of meds, so if I hear this comment one more time I might pull my hair out.
Also: “He’s not neutered!? You’re contributing to the overpopulation of pets!”
Excuse me but, this dog has had 4 intense surgeries and hasn’t felt right or healthy since the day he was born. We are not going to knowingly put him through another OPTIONAL surgery with 10x the risk for him, that isn’t 100% necessary, only to make him feel “not right” once again. He is never outside unattended or off of a leash, and he’s not going to impregnate every dog in the neighborhood. We’re not irresponsible dog owners. Get over yourselves.

Ugh I hate when people let the dog run free and then use that line “he’s friendly” I went to a bridal salon that has a dog and he runs around with all the dresses and rubs himself on people. Excuse me but I’m trying on a very expensive dress why do I want your dog near me at this time?

@bells: A dog in a bridal salon? Really? Yeesh. I love dogs and all, but that’s not the place to have your dog.
