Did you miss a pill or take one late? If you didn’t then I would think it is more than likely stress or something else delaying your period. I would wait a couple days and see if it shows, and if it doesn’t take a test first thing in the morning.

Since you just started your sugar pills, you may not be due for another 2 or 3 days. When I was on the pill, my period started 3 days after my last active pill like clockwork.

As hard as it may be, try not to stress about it until you either get your period or get a positive pregnancy test! All the stress can delay your period even more, just adding to your worry. It’s ok to not be ready, and if you are pregnant you have options. But cross that bridge if/when you get to it! 🙂

We just use my pill and that’s it. I vary from anywhere to two days before end of pill cycle to 4 days into sugar pills, and different symptoms. I went through a phase last year of 7 months straight of migraines so bad I ended up in emerg a few times, to some months nothing at all, my period sneaks in and out.

Stress, age, activities all kinds of things can alter a cycle even if it’s felt like it’s been set in stone for years with no symptoms or mild, then out of nowhere you feel like death.

We’re weird and unpredictable no matter how much we want routine. Easier said than done, but focus on something else for a few days and see what happens…

good luck, wishing you tampons in your future soon!

When I used to take the pill, I wouldn’t start my period until the end of the placebo pill week.  As long as you didn’t skip or miss any pills, it is really unlikely.  I never use other protection other than my hormonal BC.

It could be related to the stress, excitement, etc from the wedding experience! I would hold out longer! Plus even if your period doesn’t come on this cycle, which does happen- you still may not be pregnant!

Hang in there!

I used to get my period 3 days into placebo pills like clockwork. One time I was like 6 or 7 pills in, no sign of aunt flo and FREAKING out. My gyno said it just happens sometimes. There is every chance you are not pregnant.

my period has started anywhere from 3 days before I start the placebo pill week to 4 days after, and usually starts 2 days after. so you may very well be just having a weird cycle! especially given the wedding stress, and if you travelled for your honeymoon, jet-lag maybe?

If it helps, I usually get severe cramps and breast tenderness the week before my period. Never with it.

Unless you skipped 2 pills or more, it’s really, really unlikely that you’re pregnant.

lol, unlike many others, my period doesn’t always arrive on the same day of the placebo week.  I think it does that sh*t just to mess with my head.  Sometimes I’ll get cramps on week 3 of the hormones, sometimes on week 2, and sometimes they’re worse, other times they’re very light.  I totally understand you freaking out, believe me I do, but I think you’re safe.  Of course, just wait a few more days and test again… lord knows I’d be doing the same.

As a person who got pregnant while on the pill, it is nearly impossible. I was snowed in at my bf at the times house for three days and my pills were at home. If you have NOT missed any pills, the chances of being pregnant are SO slim! Don’t stress yourself out too much yet! 🙂

I’m sure your not pregnant if you have been taking your pill correctly.

Wait a few more days and give your body a chance…. It sounds like AF is on her way!

You are so not pregnant!

I’ve thought I was too before (when I was also on the pill).  I never was!  I think you’ll be ok and riding the cotton pony in no time.  Good luck!

Your pill is more effective than condoms, so even though you didn’t “double up”, you were still very protected. I would try not to worry until you have an actual late period, and a positive pregnancy test! I’m sure you are fine. I used the pill exclusively as my only method of birth control for almost 10 years, with no pregnancies ever.

@Juliepants:  LMAO!!!  I have not heard “cotton pony” before… this is something I must share with the FI!
