SoNLoveWithHim:  I’m glad I’m not the only one who thought that this update makes the site look more like The Knot! As soon as I saw the update, that’s what I said to myself, and it’s not a good thing.

There is something wrong with your computer if WeddingBee is lagging it out… To be more specific, your COMPUTER, not necessarily your internet.

There are also ways you can change the colors of websites. If you have Google Chrome or Firefox, you can get Stylish or “Color That Site!” .

If you are using Internet Explorer, that might also be why your web browsing experience is crappy in general. I would recommend downloading FIREFOX, as you can EASILY get all sorts of “apps” to solve every single one of your problems.

It’s REALLY easy to do. In fact, I will help you with it. ๐Ÿ™‚

  1. First, download Firefox here (official website). If you need help on how to download and install Firefox, there is a simple how-to here.
  2. Next, get ADBLOCK PLUS… All you have to do is click the link I provided and click “add to Firefox” once you have it installed. I would recommend also making this browser your default browser.
  3. Now you need to add either Stylish or Color That Site to your Firefox browser… Or both (I have both)… And viola! No more white Wedding Bee! (Look at my screenshot below Bees!!)

Also, just a little extra info for you curious Bees…. Firefox is not only awesome for useful adblocking/website changing apps like Stylish, Color that Site, or Adblock Plus; it’s also awesome on preventing hacking/viruses and malware from getting onto your computer. Plus, they keep people from tracking everything you do while your online. So… downloading Firefox is kind of a win-win situation.

PS, my SO and I are both Tech Support, working for the same company. He has University training in this stuff, and my knowledge I mostly picked up from surfing the net really.

Hope this helps!!!

FutureMrsHallam:  The old site was more user-friendly than this. I agree with OP. I’m not quite ready to call this site quits just yet.. but this layout sucks for a message board. It is fab for a blog, though.

I wish they had done the consult for changes board (the feedback page you can vote on) sooner. Obviously a lot of things have been in the pipes a lot longer than we users were aware of, and I feel like some of the angst could have been taken out of the equation by a bit more communication.

okqueenbee:  Sorry to hear about your decision. There were many reasons for the Bee to change, and of course with change comes resistance, but of course some just don’t like change and get uncomfortable. Anywho, we are still the same bee, same people…so if you need some wedding , nesting or Not Wedding Related support that bee is just a google search away!
