@cdenise89:  Sounds like my guys mom! She didn’t slip though, he called and said he wanted to go look at rings in January and she immediately called me haha. Of course my Future Mother-In-Law then went crazy and ruined the whole thing and is no longer involved with ring shopping (My SO isn’t talking to her at all even). So since then he has been on his own! My Future Mother-In-Law adores me and wants us to get married like tomorrow, but she definitely is not as great as yours!! Looks like you won’t be waiting much longer yay!! Here’s to 2013 being your year!

I hope it happens for you! 9 years is a long time, we’re coming up to 7 and sometimes feel like I’m losing my patience haha. My Future In-Laws never mention anything about weddings. Fingers crossed for you!

I’m in the almost 9 year boat too! Mind you, we started dating in 7th grade so I’m younger than you, so you have been MUCH more patient than I have haha πŸ™‚ I hope this is your year!!!

awww!

my stepdad took my mom with him to buy her e-ring. they’d been together 8 years, too. It was at the point, my XH and I were like “just get married, we’ll pay for it, JUST DO IT!!!” LOLOL!

so, he took her with him. let her try it on, pick it out, all the things a lady could want. then? he sticks it in his pocket, and makes her “sit on it” so to speak for a minute. About 5 miles down the road, at a red light, he put the truck in neutral, pulled the e-brake(we’re talking a tiny town, no one would care lol), turned to her with the ring already in his hand and asked!

I know how SILENTYLY batty she was going, but OH YEAH, she let it out when he finally did it! LOL

You’re a breath of fresh air that you didn’t just walk away because you didn’t have a ring on your finger <3

If you want to get married, maybe you should just ask him.

@cdenise89:  wow we are def in the same boat! We’ll make 9 years in november, started dating my junior year/ his senior year of high school. I’m honestly surprised at how many 9 year-ers there are around here! I thought I was the only crazy one! haha I think this is our year too. In fact, I know it is. You’ve got it girl, just hold on & hold in the craziness a little longer!

BTW- any of you girls going on 9 years NOT have kids with your man? We dont have kids together & when we tell people how long we’ve been together, they assume we MUST have children to have stayed dating this long. What is wrong with people?! lol

@theEguarantee:  Not a 9 yearer (but going on our 8th!) and we don’t have kids together (or at all). But I’ve never been asked either! that’s weird…people are strange lol

I’m fairly certain the proposal will be this year or very early 2014 πŸ™‚

I’ll be a 9 yearer come December, and I don’t have kids with my man … heck I don’t even get any action seeing as he’s a traditionalist πŸ™
