@Shaerena: YES…. we are Dress Designer Twins if you go for this 🙂 I am having the Iona A from that designer they are an AMAZING people to deal with and so very helpful. I am having a destination wedding at Eilean Donan Castle and these dresses are in my humble opinion the perfect thing for it.
I searched for months looking for this style and over here in the US could not find it – here the only style you find is strapless!! way over done in my again humble opinion and when I came across this designer knew it was the one…. I will never even try my dress on until I fly in a few days before the wedding!!
I LOVE IT 🙂
This is a pic of the one I have ordered – I will be having the embroidery done in a different color.

I think it’s AMAZING (to be fair I’ve been to weddings where the style of dress for bride, wedding party, and/or guests was similar.) If you love it, you should definitely go for it. If this is the kind of dress that makes your heart go pitter-pat, you’ll NEVER be happy with a more traditional dress.

That is a stunning dress. I really would go for it if it speaks to who you are your wedding vision. I think it’s beautiful.

I think it’s perfect for the venue and the unique look you want. You’ll have a very medieval wedding!

I think it is lovely and perfect for your theme!
Which castle? I lived in Crieff for a year….I absolutely love Scotland.

Oh wow, I tried on that dress and it came a very close second! We were very nearly dress twins lol.
The Arran dress just felt amazing on though, and the reaction from my parents when I came out with it on was awesome. I agree that the couple that run that business are wonderful to deal with, and I had great fun looking at all her beautiful dresses. I bet you’re going to wow everyone with your Iona dress 🙂
We are using Rowallan Castle, which is a little-known castle hidden away in Ayrshire. They actually have 2 castles in the grounds, one of them is 13th century I think, and there are gorgeous wee bridges over all the burns and beautiful woodland areas full of flowers. Lots of great photo opportunities!

My problem was finding abridesmaid dress to fit the style too.. But I think I might just have found that too 🙂
Im excited to meet my dress designer twin as I thought i would be the only one on these boards!!! 🙂

I love it! I know what you mean, about most wedding dresses being that form-fitting cookie cutter style. I think it’s wonderful that you’re doing something different, and it is very elegant and romantic!
