1. We purchased mine from MoissaniteCo – it was extremely easy and was a great process. Their customer service chat function is awesome.

2. I was actually the one that found out about moissanites and researched them. He was expecting me to demand a diamond and was pretty blindsided when I came to him and asked for a moissanite (he thought it was a “test” at first). I never honestly cared about getting a diamond – they aren’t rare considering everyone has one, so I didn’t see the point of the inflated prices. Plus, I love the story of how moissanites came to be – I’m a huge nerd and love the history with the meteorites.

3. I love love LOVE it! Absolutely zero regrets.

4. All my friends and family know, it was no big secret. I had one coworker comment that he must not love me enough to spend money on a diamond. I said I would have married him with a ring pop so suck it. :p

5. Mine is enhanced and I love it. In direct sunlight, the thing is practically blinding!

1. Where do you recommend buying it? I got mine at Moissantieco.com and they were great amazing customer service and my ring is AMAZING!

2. What made you decide on Moissanite? I loved that I new it was not a conflict diamond (well duh its not a diamond at all) That it was way sparkly (twice the sparkle of a diamond) and the price was just perfect!

3. Are you satisfied with your ring? YES YES YES YES I love my ring Wouldnt change a thing about it!

4. Do you tell people that your ring is not a Diamond? Yes! I love my moissy and So many people are interested in the stone once you explain to them about it! I have only had one rude comment ever and she is just a ***** anyways so I didnt let it get to me!

5. Do you recommend enhanced stones? If you are planning on going over 1ct or or at 1ct if you are SUPER picky about color. I hardly ever see the tiny bit of yellow and it is only when it is overcast and I am really looking for the color.

Also Mine is a 1ct on a size 8.5 finger and feel free to ask me any questions you might have!

1. Where do you recommend buying it? I bought mine from MoissaniteCo.com, and had a great experience.

2. What made you decide on Moissanite? I wanted a big stone, and while we could have afforded one, it just seemed ridiculous to spent that much money on a small sparkling rock when another small sparkling rock that looks virtually identical is MUCH cheaper. Going with moissy meant I could have my dream ring and we could pay a huge chunk of our mortgage this year.

3. Are you satisfied with your ring? LOVE it! Still looks just as gorgeous as the day I got it, almost a year ago! I get compliments all the time. The style of it is also exactly what I wanted, perfect for me. 🙂

4. Do you tell people that your ring is not a Diamond? Nope.

5. Do you recommend enhanced stones? Yes I do. Mine is enhanced and it’s very white. I know that there is now a new kind of “enhancement” for moissy that is even better, but I haven’t seen it in person. Frankly, my stone is white enough already lol.

Here are some pictures

1. Where do you recommend buying it? I bought my center stone from Moissanite Co. and I didnt have one problem.

2. What made you decide on Moissanite? I wanted a larger center stone, but diamond prices are astronomical.  I didnt feel right asking my Fiance to pay for a rock that cost almost as much as my car. We have plans to get married and buy a house. All that takes money.

3. Are you satisfied with your ring? 100%.  I have her paired up with J colored diamonds, and I like my moissy more.  My fiance said that when its time to upgrade I’ll be upgrading that side stones not the center stone.  I can’t wait for my lovely G color VS1 side stones!

4. Do you tell people that your ring is not a Diamond? If they don’t ask then I don’t tell. People can be really snotty about stuff like that,  and I personally just dont want to deal with it. Not all people mind you…

5. Do you recommend enhanced stones? YES!YES!YES!  I have a Mira Moissy and its gorgeous. It can be a little warm in some lighting, but for the most part its pure white.  I’ve gotten nothing but ooos and ahhhs about how good a job my Fiance did.

Here is my star…1.25 ct Mira Moissy/.5 ct diamonds/ .5 ct peridot on a size 5 finger.

1. Where do you recommend buying it? MoissaniteCo!

2. What made you decide on Moissanite? We decided to go with moissanite because it was beautiful and it was an afforadable price for the size stone that I wanted.

3. Are you satisfied with your ring? YESSS! I am more than satisfied with my ring.

4. Do you tell people that your ring is not a Diamond? It has only come up with one person, and that was my best friend, so of course I told her it was moissanite and not diamond. I’m not ashamed at all that my ring is not diamond and am not trying to pass it off as such.

5. Do you recommend enhanced stones? My ring is unenhanced, so I can’t speak to this. I have, however, heard that with stones larger than 1ct, getting enhanced is a good idea.

Picturessss 🙂

I highly recommend moissanite. It’s absolutely stunning.

1. Where do you recommend buying it? Fiance got it from Moissanite Co. and he was EXTREMELY happy with the service.

2. What made you decide on Moissanite? We went and looked at Leo diamonds and I fell in love…until I saw the price tag. I really didn’t want him to spend on a ring what we could use to buy a car. I did some research, found out about Moissanite, and showed him the website.

3. Are you satisfied with your ring? I only wish he had gone BIGGER with my center stone sometimes. The awesome thing is that we won’t have to take out a second mortgage or sell a kidney if I ever want an upgrade.

4. Do you tell people that your ring is not a Diamond? If someone is making a big deal about it, yes. When someone tells me in passing that they love my ring, I don’t make a point of stopping them to tell them about it. Yes, people know. No, I don’t care what they think.

5. Do you recommend enhanced stones? My ring is unenhanced and 1.20 ct. It looks really beautiful in any lighting and sometimes takes on a pretty creamy color. I haven’t seen an enhanced stone in real life.

Sorry, crappy camera + shaky hands = my pictures

It’s 1.20 ct, size six ring.

I absolutely love Moissanite!

1. Where do you recommend buying it? A lot of people love and have had great service with Moissanite Co and they offer both unenhanced and Mira (Amora?) Moissanite (they no longer sell “enhanced” Moissanite but Mira is the “enhanced” version)

2. What made you decide on Moissanite? I chose Moissanite because, as a gemstone it has more sparkle than Diamond and sparkle was the most important aspect (2nd to my husband’s love) in my engagement ring. My husband chose Moissanite because he feels it’s the more reasonable gemstone. He’s very logical and felt that Diamonds are overpriced for what you get (though he was going to buy one before we found Moissanite) and with Moissanite you get better sparkle, great clarity and cut, good color and possibly a bigger size (we were looking at .5-1CT Diamond Solitaires and he ended up getting me a 1.5CT Moissanite Solitaire) for a great price, which to him, was a very logical choice.

3. Are you satisfied with your ring? I am 100% satisfied with my ring; I absolutely love it!

4. Do you tell people that your ring is not a Diamond? I do and I don’t. I tell a lot of people that it is Moissanite and about Moissanite but if someone just compliments my ring I say “Thank you.” Even though I’m not passing my Moissanite off as a Diamond, I don’t feel that I have to announce to the world that it isn’t a Diamond. I feel that people shouldn’t assume that all clear/white stones are Diamonds or that all engagement rings should be Diamonds.

5. Do you recommend enhanced stones? This is more or less a personal preference. My Moissanite is unenhanced and I wanted it that way because I wanted a Moissanite engagement ring which to me meant having the gemstone as is. I don’t have any issue with color but if you want a whiter stone I would recommend Mira/Amora.

Here’s my 1.5CT Unenhanced Moissanite Solitaire size 6 in palladium (band is Diamond, .25 total carat weight also size 6 in palladium) Video

Ring size 5.5; 7mm cushion (1.8 ct) set in recycled palladium and 18k yellow gold.

1. Where do you recommend buying it?

I got mine at my local jeweler–he ordered it and set it for me.  He even ordered a few so we’d get a really nice one.

2. What made you decide on Moissanite?

I have major ethical issues with the diamond trade–partially due to the “blood diamond” aspect and partly due to the deforestation and devastation that mining wreaks upon the local ecosystem.  I never wanted to look at my ring and wonder if some little kid got his hand cut off or some species went extinct so that I could have something pretty.  I was torn between moissanite and a lab grown alexandrite–bf chose moissanite because alexandrite doesn’t change as well in a bezel setting as it would in a prong setting and he liked how it looked better.

3. Are you satisfied with your ring?

Very!  I love it.  I have a beautiful ring that I love that doesn’t make me feel guilty.  Because the cost was much lower, I was able to get a rock that would have cost more than a car if it were a diamond so I was able to get something that was more to my taste without spending a stupid amount of money.

4. Do you tell people that your ring is not a Diamond?

Sure.  Usually I don’t bother with strangers but anyone who asks, I’ll tell them.  It’s a beautiful stone with a unique history–I love sharing.  I’m not ashamed of my moissanite–it’s not a fake diamond.  It’s not a diamond but neither is a white sapphire or white topaz and those aren’t fake diamonds either.  I have a reasonably priced, ethically sound and stunning piece of jewelry.  What’s to be ashamed of?

5. Do you recommend enhanced stones?

Not really but I like a little color in my rock.  I had the bezel made with yellow gold so we’d get a bit more yellow color out of my unenhanced moissanite–it’s still stubbornly pretty white for my eyes.  But if you really like a white, white stone, then I would get an Amora–people who don’t like color are hypersensitive and would totally see the yellow that occasionally makes an appearance in mine.

I don’t have any good ones on my finger because well, I’m just to clumsy.

1. Where do you recommend buying it? We did the moissaniteco route too! Love them!

2. What made you decide on Moissanite? I got more bling for my buck. Plus extremely ethical!

3. Are you satisfied with your ring? I couldn’t be more satisfied with it!

4. Do you tell people that your ring is not a Diamond? Yes! I volunteer it at the start! Most are intruiged by the fact of what it is and they don’t really know what it is!

5. Do you recommend enhanced stones? I couldn’t tell you either way, my center stone is 5.5mm and I don’t notice any yellow with it.

My ring was custom made from a ring I saw at a store. It’s 3/4 carat centerstone and 1/2 carat on the side stones

1. Where do you recommend buying it? I used Schubach Jewelers. I loved their service and they were sooo friendly!

2. What made you decide on Moissanite? I don’t really care about going the diamond route. To me diamonds are just not rare and everyone has one. I’d rather have mossainite to make it easier on his wallet and no one can tell the difference so why not. Plus I’m anti diamond because of “blood diamonds”

3. Are you satisfied with your ring? I LOVEEEEEE my ring!

4. Do you tell people that your ring is not a Diamond? No, don’t ask don’t tell! They ask me if it’s real…real what I think?! So I respond yes haha It’s real mossainite and plus I think it’s rude to ask someone if its a diamond or not. It’s no ones business. We told his family its a diamond because his mother INSISTED that I MUST have a diamond because every girl wants a diamond
