1. Where do you recommend buying it?

Mine is from MoissaniteCo.

2. What made you decide on Moissanite?

I wanted a gemstone engagement ring, but my fiance preferred the traditional diamond look. I suggested a moissanite and he loved it as much as I did Smile

3. Are you satisfied with your ring?

VERY!

4. Do you tell people that your ring is not a Diamond?

No one has asked as of yet, but I wouldn’t lie if they did.

5. Do you recommend enhanced stones?

I think that all depends on personal preference. My stone shows some slight warmth in some lighting but is plenty white without any enhancement.

1.  Where do you recommend buying it?  Moissy and Co.  It was very simple and a great experience for us.

2.  What made us decide on Moissanite?  Definitely cost, and definitely ethics as other bees have stated.  We wanted something that we know 100% did not cause any conflict or suffering but also that is a very durable and beautiful stone.  I have also always wanted a clear stone for an e-ring.

3. Are you satisfied?  I wouldn’t trade my ring for the world. : )

4.  Do you tell people it is a diamond?  Close friends I make a point to explain what moissanite is, but people who just say “gorgeous ring!”, I just say “thank you” and leave it at that.

5.  Enhanced stones?  Mine is a 1 carat unenhanced stone and I think it is gorgeous.  It definitely does change color in different lights… Looks anywhere from bright white, to a little buttery on a cloudy day, to complete rainbows to semi-reflecting what I’m wearing.

@BeautyBox:   My band is  1 and a half carets , I love it someties I wear it by itself and it is still so pretty, I am sure your going to love it when you pair it with your engagement ring. I waited so patietly for my set and it took me almost a year to find the one that I wanted, my first set  that I selected after wearing it for two days I sent it back until I found the one I want. I went form a 7 stone band to a 5 and I thinks it does the my engagement ring justice. Have you selcted your engagemen ring yet. I am sure you will love it even more once you have paired it together. Sometime si just catch myself staring at it.

I’m way too picky), he already ha in his hands for months , its in our house eeekk and i’m “waiting” I didn’t know about Moissy since i got on the bee and had i known I would have just gone all the way moissy( for me it would be the price, and the fact that so far from what i’ve seen it looks like a diamond and i really love the look of a diamond just not the price LOL) … I mean I still have to see it IRL b/c all i have seen are videos and pics and so far they look amazing , and I would love to have my wedding band be a Moissy now that I know more about it :-)… I’m sure it will be fine there is a bee on here that has a diamond e-ring and Moissy eternity wedding band and i really dont see any difference from the photo’s at least…

1. Where do you recommend buying it?

I got mine at Mossanite Co and they were wonderful through the whole process.

2. What made you decide on Moissanite?

At first I did want a diamond or a sapphire but after shopping around I quickly changed my mind. The amount of money they wanted was outrageous. And I didn’t want the possibility of ending up with a blood diamond. A while later I discovered Mossanite and it was the perfect answer. It had more sparkle than a diamond, looks and acts like one. In my opinion it is much prettier than a diamond. So I went with Mossanite because I wasn’t about to spend 10 times the price on a diamond.

3. Are you satisfied with your ring?

Yes very!

4. Do you tell people that your ring is not a Diamond?

I told my close friends and family. If anyone asks if its “real” I say yes because it is a real Mossanite. And if anyone was to ask if it was a diamond I would tell the truth because I’m proud of my ring. I have not been asked if it was a diamond yet.

5. Do you recommend enhanced stones?

Yes I do. I haven’t seen a unenhanced Mossanite in real life but I’ve heard that they have a bit of a yellow tint to them sometimes. So if your color sensitive like me it’s best to get the upgrade to a whiter stone. And if you like a lot of warm to a stone then the unehanced should be just fine.

1. Where do you recommend buying it? Mine is from Moissaniteco and I love it! They were so friendly and helpful with my hundreds of questions.

2. What made you decide on Moissanite? I have two degrees in sustainability and work in that field, so I try to make ethical consumer decisions. Diamonds are not very eco friendly or socially sustainable. There is a lot of conflict surrounding the stones. Plus I have never really bought into the falsely manipulated market for diamonds. Moissanites, in my opinion, are so much prettier than diamonds PLUS they’re cheaper! The ring I got was $850 for 1.5 carats. If I would’ve got a diamond, it would’ve cost $8,000+.

3. Are you satisfied with your ring? YES! The sparkle on this thing is insane! I get so many compliments on it!

4. Do you tell people that your ring is not a Diamond? Yes. Personally, I love sharing the gospel of moissanites with new people! I’ve converted a few of my friends haha.

5. Do you recommend enhanced stones? Depends. I did a lot of research, and ended up getting a 1.5 carat unenhanced moissanite. Many people said that if you get anyhting bigger than 1 carat you should get enhanced because the stones can be “warmer” in color. But if you plan on getting rose gold or yellow gold, it makes the stone look whiter. My ring is rose gold, so I think that definitely has an effect on the whiteness of the stone. But I will say the stone has very dynamic coloring. It picks up some colors really easily. I wear a lot of Lilly Pulitzer (BRIGHT clothes), and I notice that when I put my stone close to my body, it picks up pretty pink and blue tones. I personally love it! But most of the time, the stone is just bright white and perfect!
