bsgal:  Thanks! (I am a bit smitten) it is Round Forever One Tiffany Style Solitaire Ring (2mm) sol251-2mm-F1 here is a side shot to show the setting (excuse the bits of dust): the band is Matching Diamond Band for Wed528-F1 it sits quite low which i like but high enough to have the band comfortably but not completely flush (i dont think?? I am not married yet 🙂 ) I didnt want the 258 because I thought it might sit too high for every day wear?? hope this helps 🙂wedder

DeathByDesign :  What setting did you get? I’ve been looking at a few different ones and yours is the one I want! I just cant figure out which one that is from Moissaniteco.com.
Also, what band did you get for it??

I know this thread is old but I looked at old posts for information when I was researching my ring so I thought someone else might find this helpful.

1. Where do you recommend purchasing?

The center stone is a Forever One colorless moissanite. My fiancé purchased it directly from Charles and Colvard. He had it set by a little mom and pop jewelry store. The jeweler we got the setting from was snobby about working with a moissanite.

2. What made you decide on Moissanite?

I think the diamond industry is a complete racket. All I wanted was a beautiful ring with clear gems that sparkle. I didn’t need a diamond to make that happen.

3. Are you satisfied with your ring?

YES! I couldn’t be happier. I stare at it many times a day and I have had it for four months already. It still hasn’t gotten old.

4. Do you tell people that your ring is not a Diamond?

I thought about it and read some suggestions on the site. Ultimately I decided to just say thank you when someone compliments it. If anyone asks I will tell them but no one has so far.  I’m not ashamed of not having a diamond, I just stepped through how the conversation could go and if it took a wrong turn someone might take it as me shaming them about their diamond. I don’t feel that way and I don’t want to take a chance that could happen. If someone else has a diamond and that’s what they really wanted, that’s ok. It’s a personal choice.

5. Do you recommend enhanced stones?

This is a five year old thread so I’m not sure this question is still relevant. I didn’t read anything about enhancement when I was researching moissanite. But I zeroed in on a Charles and Colvard Forever One stone pretty quickly.  Maybe other types of moissanite use enhancement?

Here are some of the best pictures I have. It’s really 1,000 times better in person. Because of home much it sparkles, it’s hard to get a good picture that shows the details. Center stone is equivalent to a 1.5 carat diamond.

Moissanite is truly a blessing for all of us hoping to save a little cash!  There are many wonderful places to purchase unique rings from, so don’t be afraid to move out of the mainstream!!!!  [link moderated]

You might be pleasantly surprised by what you find.  I know I was!!!
