@Jinjubee:  If you’re looking for something where you can have the ring and stone all done in one place, than it’s a great idea. It really helps simplify the buying process. Their color variety is great too, you won’t find anywhere else with such an enormous collection to choose from in one place.

For myself though, I prefer to avoid them. Their prices are often(but not always) slightly higher than what I could find elsewhere for similar or better quality. I might have to work a little harder and it take a little longer but I tend to like the results better and feel I’ve received more value for my money.

Briliant Earth is another option for sapphires, if you want an all-in-one experience, and they’re eco-friendly, certified conflict free, etc.

Personally, I’ve sourced my own sapphires from small artisan gem cutters here in the US and am having all my rings made by artists on Etsy.

James Allen has sapphires but I don’t know too much about the quality versus price. They have loose sapphires and a line of rings already made up that are very pretty. Check them out!

@Jinjubee:  I don’t know where you live, but my sapphire came from Jared’s. It was purchased for about $1500- natural, heat treated, 1.25 ct and was appraised independently for $3000. So I thought that price was pretty fair.

@Jinjubee:  I got mine from the Natural Sapphire Company! I love my ring, and they were really easy to work with. I liked a setting from a pre-made ring (rather than one of their options), and they made a new version with a stone of my choice. My sapphire is gorgeous and I stare at it all the time. I’m definitely pleased with the results!

I also ordered from the natural sapphire compaNy. They worked with me to design my ring and put the sapphire of my choice in it. Liv was very very helpful, the process was wonderful, and my ring is exactly whaI I wanted. People often don’t believe my stone is a sapphire because the color is so beautiful. Highly recommend them.

@Jinjubee:  My FI got me a beautiful pendant from there and I love it! My sapphire is super pretty and, as far as I know, the process was pretty simple.
