Because he’s an abuser–it’s how they think.  He feels entitled.

This just makes me so proud of you!  What an a$$hole.  It’s creeps like this that make me just cringe.  You have helped take this guy down.  Hopefully he won’t ever try to hurt a woman again after what you did to him.  You are superwoman!

You go girl! It sounds like you are doing just about all you can to keep yourself safe.

On another note, I would also advise in letting your office security know about your ex and to have them be on the lookout for you just in case anything happens. You don’t need to divulge all the dirty details, but at least let them know so they can be wary of him. And don’t forget your pepper spray! (I’ve got a pretty pink one that dangles from my car keys.)

You can’t be too safe 🙂

@missbunnyrabbit: Good job on getting all this taken care of! Go girl!

I want to take this opportunity to point out for you, and the rest of the hive, about hacking into e-mails. I’m not sure how it is with other e-mail providers, but I know with Yahoo!, when you click on “forgot password,” they ask you a security question and your zip code. So if someone who knows you is trying to get into your e-mail, if they know you well enough, they will know the zip code and the answer to the security question, and they’ll get right in. To avoid this, I changed my “zip code” on my profile to something that I will remember that is NOT my actual zip code. I look at it more as a “pin” (like with your atm card). That way, even if someone does know the answer to my security question, they don’t know what zip code I put in, and they can’t break in. (The only reason I know all this is because my ex broke into my e-mail address before as well.)

Good for you for getting rid of that guy and taking the right steps to ensure your protection.  This is not embarrassing for you – it is embarrassing for him.  Don’t feel ashamed – you absolutely did the right thing!  Best of luck!
