@MissSweetiepie:  Your ring is gorgeous! But if you want the moissanite go for it. You have to go with your heart on this one.

I think your ring is STUNNING, but talk to a jeweler! They can show you what the bigger stone would look like in your setting. Then you can decide!

I don’t think it’s crazy…you can do whatever makes you happy.  I personally don’t care whether or not I have a diamond (or any other ring since I don’t really wear rings) and I’m not into jewelry outside of statement pieces (necklaces and earrings mostly), so if you don’t care then do whatever you want!  I’d order one in person to make sure you like it though.

I do think your ring is very pretty though!

I say go for it! Have you considered an amora gem? It’s not known to pick up background color, however it does not have as much fire as a moissy

@MissSweetiepie:  i love your setting.  i would be concerned what the moissy would look like beside the diamond side stones.  colourwise.  have you considered just trading in/upgrading your current diamond for one just less than a carat, .98 ct?  once you hit the 1.0 ct mark, the prices really increase.

I would only be hestiant if you have colorless side stones. Even with the Amora upgrade there will be a difference in color between the moissy and say E colored stones, which may or may not bother you. With that said, I think an OEC would look AMAZING in that setting!!

I’d make sure that your setting can accommodate a larger stone.

Waaaay to nice to change – your ring is very perfect and I could not imagine it better. Maybe a new large rhr?

@MissSweetiepie:  My original ring had a 1/2c (although that was actually a Moissy too) and I upgraded to a new 1.25c Moissy that I absolutely love!  I am so happy I did it, so I definitely recommend for you to do it.  Since you can’t get very much back for your diamond, I would set it in a RHR or a necklace.  GL!

@MissSweetiepie:  How about getting a big moissy or other gemstone RHR??
