So, Fiance and I decided not to have a bridal party as it’s not tradition in his cultural. I do however want to have a bachelorette party. Has anyone else experienced a situation similar? Do you just go out with some of your closest girlfriends? I feel somewhat split as I have some good friends here in California where we live and some old friends back east where my parents live. Any thoughts on what to do here ladies? Thanx:)

I am in a similar boat. I am having a very small wedding so we are just having 2 witnesses to sign the license. I still want a party though so I am just going to have an evening out with my girl friends and leave it at that. If you arent planning on going back east before the wedding the next time you go there you can go out with those girls and have a second party and call it your post-wedding bach party. Just an idea.

I didn’t have any bridesmaids either so I organized myself a trip to Vegas and invited my close girlfriends and mother to go along. It was really fun.

I had bridesmaids, but they took me on a surprise trip for my bachelorette party and it was just us 3 girls. My friends at home wanted to celebrate too so they ended up throwing me another party locally, even though they aren’t in the wedding party.

I am having a Maid/Matron of Honor and we decided to do a spa day. I’m 41 and I’m not one to make my own “Hangover” movie. The spa day will allow me to invite my girlfriends as well as my Mom. Before the wedding another girlfriend and I are planning a dinner w/ my Girl’s Nite Out group since I’m having a less than 40 ppl @ my wedding.
I would plan something w/ your close girlfriends on both coast.
