@musician32992:  I don’t think you’ll notice much difference between 1.1 and 1.4. Also, you said your ring now is a 1.5, and cushions face up smaller, so wouldn’t you want to get something bigger than 1.4? Not only is it a smaller weight than the original, since cushions face up smaller, a 1.4 is going to look smaller than the stone you have now.

I was thinking about that, too!

Cushions show pretty small. So if you like the generous sizing of your current 1.5, I’d definitely go with at least a 1.5 cushion!

Unless you prefer a whiter stone, then you might want to go with the smaller 1.1!

Try going do diamdb.com – obviously your ring will be a bit different since it has a halo and the website compares solitaires, but it might help? I would go with the 1.4ct tho (I had a 1.4ct moissy cushion in the past) and it seemed like the perfect size to me.

I love your aquamarine ring.  Beautiful.  Where is it from if you don’t mind me asking? You’re new one is gorgeous, too.

Go bigger!..trust me diamond shrinkage syndrome is not fun..I wish my center diamond was larger..it has shrunk. Its a .83 carat princess cut diamond in a halo and my ring size is 3.5 and upgrading to a larger diamond would mean making my halo larger which would all be expensive…so definitely go for the 1.4 so you won’t regret it later!
