Your ring is gorgeous, but I always love solitaires! So timeless and classy! So I say if it’s what you want, go for it! The double halo with a pink sapphire would be a beautiful RHR!

I think that center stone should stand alone! Go for the solitaire. It does look cocktail-y in that setting. I think a pink sapphire would look fabulous in it as a cocktail ring!

I agree with pp that the current setting looks more like a cocktail ring so switching it out would be a nice switch aesthetically.

Since you’d be keeping the original stone your OH proposed with on your left ring finger it also doesn’t seem as flippant a change. I assume he doesn’t mind?

I like your original setting, but my heart truly lies with a solitaire too. Do what makes you happy :-). P.S. Is your stone an AG? Very pretty!

I’m a sucker for a solitaire.  I agree-that double halo is so pretty-but it would be just as gorgeous as a rhr.  And it’s such a dramatic change, you’ll love it.

I think going from a double halo to a solitaire will be too drastic of a change and it will feel small after you have been wearing such a big ring. What about a  single halo? I LOVE halos 🙂

ETA: For the rhr, I vote cushion!

I have a beautiful solitaire so I may be biased, but go for it! Love your idea with the pink sapphire in the double halo.

I love the current setting but that is just me.  what you have planned also would look great . I mean it is you who has to wear the ring in the end so do what you would enjoy most no matter what anyone says . Hugs xoxo good luck 🍀

I love solitaires – cannot go wrong with that in a gorgeous setting.  So classic, timeless, and elegant!  And a pink sapphire would look great in your halo setting.
