(Closed) Thinking of joining WW. Is it helpful?

@SoontobeMsL:I did about 5 years ago I lost about 20 pounds in about 12 wks you have to stick to it. I’m getting married next year and I’m thinking about joining again.

I’ve only been on it for about a week and a half, but I’ve lost 6 lbs already. I did it after one of my friends lost about 40lbs and kept it off for about a year now. If you take a look on either the wellness or fitness boards there is a weekly WW thread–You’ll see a ton of bees that are on it and are succesful.

I’ve been on it for about two and a half months and have lost 22 lbs so far. With minimal exercise. I’d say it’s helpful!

WW is the first effective program I’ve actually tried.  If you follow it, you’ll lose weight.  And it’s a balanced, healthy approach to weightloss.  My friend who is a nutritionist says that it is the only program that she and her colleagues would recommend.

I had success with WW about 8 years ago (20+ pounds).  It was fairly easy and healthy.  My Mom is having success with it now.  I do not follow it anymore, I have since gone vegetarian (vegan when possible) and am following more of a plant based diet instead of points.

i do WW. i started in may and have lost 34 lbs so far 🙂 i like it, it makes you very aware of what you are putting in your mouth.

i use WW and it really teaches you about portion size. I think it really works because you’re not restricted to any foods but they do teach you how to cut back on some things. Try it out!
