I would say go ahead with the wedding as scheduled.  He wants to, and you in your heart of hearts don’t really want to push it back.  Go ahead, keep planning, have faith, it will all work out.

I’m sorry you’re going through all this!  It might be nice to have one really happy moment to look forward to this fall, but it might be easier financially on you if you push it back and have time to save.  Good luck figuring this out!

@Dandelion D:  Good luck!  I feel sad for you, I can imagine the stress you’re under!  Let your Fiance help you- my Fiance is like yours, he’s the logical/rational one to my emotional personality, and he helps me see things more clearly, all the time.  Try not to panic, it will be ok.

Sometimes in life when you least expect it, just having faith alone that what you want will happen can cause miraculous answers to come.  Say a little prayer for your heart’s desire and I’ll say one for you as well.  Please let us know what you come up with after your talk.

@Dandelion D:  You are so very welcome!  Smiles!

I can tell you really don’t want to postpone.  You still have time, and it can still work.  Hang in there!  Your Fiance sounds like a very wonderful man who loves you very much.  You can trust him to know the right thing to do right now.

I would also check in with Ms.Pink(I think it was her). She had a beautiful country outdoor weeding, on a budget of like $5000, including two dresses! I’m not sure what your budget is, but i’m sure she’d have some great tips/suggestions on how to cut some costs maybe?

You can do this! My Fiance and I thought we were going to have to postpone our wedding as he was hit by a car back in December. The thought of planning a wedding, while completing my final year of uni and being a carer was daunting, I really didn’t think I’d manage it all. The good news is that we’ve pretty much done everything wedding wise in two months. My fiance will make a good recovery by May too! I’m so glad that we didn’t postpone,as everything worked out anyway. Do you have any family and friends that can give you a hand with DIYing and planning? Once you’ve decided what you want it gets alot easier. If you need any help choosing anything or need advice I’m sure us bees will be more than happy to help 🙂

Edit: Also, what I’ve found really helps is creating a list of everything needed for a wedding. Give yourself a little task each day that’s wedding related (even if it’s just to decide on something) and tick it off. It really makes you feel better about everything and shows that your making progress. You get a real sense of achievement!

i’m a teacher and i specifically planned things in case money went bad. i’m doing an outside wedding in a beautiful garden setting, so no money for decor. i bought my dress at a huge shop that sells directly from the manufacturer for a great price. i’ve organized friendors to do lots of things like photography (she’s amazing and personal), food (his mom and aunts are doing reception food, my mom and her sisters are doing rehearsal dinner food), and music (his friends have all the equipment, we’re borrowing for free). if money goes right, we get to have an amazing honeymoon. if not, we just have the wedding and go on a super small minimoon and save for the dream honeymoon.

you can still do the wedding outdoors like u wanted. you just may need to see where you can get a better deal. diy is good, but sometimes stressful and costs more if you aren’t careful. i’m growing flowers in my yard for bouquets. i may spend more to get that done than actually buying flowers at kroger the day before. our kroger has beautiful flowers!

if he wants to get married now, and you do, then do it. your wedding will be beautiful no matter what!
