hey guys! I thought id ask for your thoughts/advice! me & my husband had talked about it and we did plan to upgrade my ring but sometimes I just am very indecisive on what I want… We decided to upgrade or re design because we just recently found out my center diamond stone is chipped also it is a very poor quality diamond… So I’m thinking… Maybe change the center stone to a forever brilliant moissanite, since it’ll be much cheaper. I think my center stone right now is a .25-.35 ct so I was thinking I may just do a .40 center if I do change it a bit… and I also wanted to change my side stones, right now it is baguettes diamond but I was thinking instead of that change it to round diamonds… that way It will sparkle more lol…
What do you guys think? Any thoughts of anything you thjnk I should or shouldn’t do… I do love halos.. But I think with this setting it would look funny. Lol
Thanks in advance! 🙂

I think you should just get a whole new ring. I think the smallest size in a moissy is 0.50 ct and if you changed the side stones shape they couldn’t reuse your current setting unless they melt it down first.

Not a suggestion but your centre stone looks way bigger than .25 or .40

I think it would be easier if you just upgrade to a whole new ring. Switching out all the diamonds will probably damage the integrity of the ring, causing you to have problems with stones falling out, etc. It could be a big hassel for upkeep, plus it might not even be possible. But there are a bunch of awesome moissanite options out there and you can get a whole new setting in whatever style you want. Very exciting!

mzwiggy: I don’t know if its just the way the photo is taken but your stone looks waaaay larger than the ct weight you have listed. It looks to me to be about .75 ct

It sounds like there’s quite a bit you want to change so getting a whole new ring may be the easiest way to do so.

Sooo, basically you want a whole new ring lol.
Then just do that! Moissy is significantly cheaper than diamonds
