Perhaps you can skip high-intensity but still get exercise in by taking a walk? Gets you moving but isn’t so hard you’ll pass out from exertion.

@envirobride:  I felt that way yesterday – Aunt Flo is coming to visit and I felt like sitting out. But, I made a deal with myself that I would go for 10 minutes, if I felt like crap I could leave.

Depends, do you feel achey or is it a head cold? My doc said that it was okay to work out if it was above your neck. Anything neck down – body aches, tummy trouble then you should stay home and rest up.

lol, I felt the same way and a couple weeks later I’m STILL sick. I actually think working out made me worse because I pushed myself too hard. If you think you won’t overdo it, I’d go, but otherwise I’d do like a PP said and take a walk or do something a bit lighter.

Go to the class, sometimes it’s so much better to get moving than it is to stay sedentary!

Well you know, if you ARE getting sick, a workout just might help you feel better faster!  If you’re not going to zumba, maybe try getting out for a walk?

Rule is that if it’s in the head, then go workout. If you are feeling sick in your lungs or stomach… dont do it.

Zumba’s probably a bit much, but why not do some light Cardio? Walk on the treadmill for 20 minutes. It won’t wear you out and you’ll still feel like you accomplished something!  ; )

@envirobride:  listen to your body and rest up.  How often are you working out?  If you really are coming down with a cold, your body needs sleep.  Drink lots of water and try to go to sleep early.  Get back on your workout routine when you are better.

I know what you mean about not being sure if you are wussing out.  I felt this way at times during my wedding fitness but if you are consistent, missing a few days isn’t going to hurt you.  Just get back on the workout wagon when you can.
