So I’ve done Weight Watchers several times, each time with a varying degree of success. Last time I did it actually at a meeting I was doing well but we then found out I was pregnant so had to stop. Did ok last time at home but Fiance and I both felt not like we did at meetings. He would be doing this with me too. He did awesome last time we went to meetings. I guess I need to get motivated to start (would be next Tuesday) and to get back to the gym. I want to lose weight for the wedding in May and be at the lowest I have been in the last 4 years for summer softball. It sucks trying to play at this weight when I am used to a lot less way back when in high school. How did you guys get motivated not just on Weight Watchers but any “diet” but also working out?

I think WW is great! I lost 30 lbs last year and I’ve kept it off for almost a year. I agree that going to the meetings is the best!
The best motivator for me is having to shop for new clothes. I think thats the best feeling! Best suggestion I can make is to just not buy any junk food. The only snacks we keep in the house now are fruit and popcorn (plain that we microwave in a brown paper bag). If someone really wants something else, we can go out and get it but usually laziness trumps snacking. Eventually you just stop craving the bad stuff. There has been a carton of ice cream in my freezer for 2 weeks since my parents visited us and we had dessert and I haven’t even looked at it.
The only other thing I can say is don’t get discouraged. It look me a long time to lose the weight. It was a slow process. I lost a lot at first but it definitely stalled out eventually.
