Not sure where to post this, so I apologize if it has to be moved! I did this for my SO on our one year anniversary and have since thought of different uses and wanted to share the idea.
For everyone that has a Wii (I noticed lots of ladies asking questions about Wii Fit, Active, etc.), Wii has a ‘photo’ feature that is amazing! You can put pictures and music on an SD card and Wii will play a slide show, complete with different music options (or your own) and different effects (sephia, black and white). I made a slide show for him for our anniversary (we agreed no gifts – saving money) and added Paint files saying “I can’t wait to marry you”, “Happy anniversary” and other sayings.
Don’t tell – but he totally teared up. He looked at me stunned, and told me that’s the sweetest thing anyone’s ever done for him.
I thought the same idea could be used at a reception; I’ve seen some weddings that had a ‘Wii station’ and perhaps it could play the slideshow during cocktail hour and then change to games?
Just thinking out loud and wondering – what other sweet and budget-friendly ideas have you bees have done for your men?

That’s an awesome idea!!!
My low-budget gift to FH was to sponsor a page on baseballreference.com for him. We are both HUGE baseball fans (me Yankees, him Cubs, and we support one another’s teams too), and any time we squabble about minute details, it’s to baseballreference.com we go! You can sponsor pages for teams, seasons, and players. Each has a price based on how popular it is.

I sponsor the 2007 Cubs page for him. 🙂

That is so cute! Great idea!! I love it when our fi/husbands say “that is the sweetest thing anyones ever done for me” 🙂
A few years back my hubs (bf at the time) was stuck in our college town on Christmas day all alone (he had to work the next day and took time off for thanksgiving instead of xmas) anyways in addition to his regular christmas present, I got a huge box and put a bunch of snacks, candy, beer, & movies into it and wrapped it. I told him he couldn’t open it till Xmas. So when he opened the box I had a really long letter for him and a huge sign on the box that said “Christmas Survival Kit.” He called me immediatly and was trying not to cry telling me that was the sweetest thing anyone has ever done 🙂 That was a few years ago and he still has the sign to this day!

I got crafty for V-Day and made Fiance a little fabric plush heart and hand-stitched “I [heart] U” into it. He really likes it and won’t put it up with the other plush animals and things that he has and insists that it stays by the bed.
