I already posted this in Decor, but then realized it might fit better here- but then I accidentally posted it in Money, so here it is again- sorry to the Bees who’ve had to look at it 3 times:
What did you actually pay for the following:
Florals (ceremony and/or reception)
Draping (ceiling and otherwise)
Lounge furniture rental
Chair covers and/or specialty chairs
Did anyone do a complete venue overhaul? How did it affect the overall budget? What was your headcount?
I know money can be a sensitive subject, but we’re all friends here Besides, we’re anonymous, lol!
It would be AMAZING if you added photos with your numbers- I’m trying to get a feel for just how much decor we can afford for my little sister’s wedding. I’m the default planner (she’ll hire a day-of coordinator while I do Maid/Matron of Honor duties), but this is my first one!
Thanks so much!

It depends on a venue, did she pick one yet? The place I am getting married, the linens, centerpieces and all of that kind of stuff was included.

@ssilva1: She hasn’t picked a venue yet, exactly. One venue will come with standard stuff- round tables, white linens, white napkins, etc.
The other venue is completely bare, and the ceiling needs to be completely covered.
We’re trying to compare the cost of a sit-down dinner with the cost of making her reception a kick-ass cocktail party.

For my florals and candles I am paying $3500
I am doing pipe and drape on three walls in the ceremony space- $1,000
The venue provides any color linen but I added pintuck overlay- $175
Uplighting- 12 cans, $500
Chair rentals-$1300 (chivari for reception, white resin for ceremony)
I was really big into the ambiance and feel of the room so the decor was important but I didn’t want to spend that much, I am happy with the amounts.
