Third Trimester- Did your feet grow?

My feet grew a half a size with my first pregnancy and then stayed that way. I’m 30 weeks with number 3 and they don’t grow any more, just swell a bit. I bought loser shoes to be more comfortable.

Fingers also tend to swell a bit by the end and usually I take off my rings at night to be more comfortable or wear just a plain band that’s a half size bigger then my wedding set.

I would say this all tended to happen for me in the earlyish 3rd trimester each time.

Oh wow this is madness, i know why a lot of my old shoes didnt fit me after my first pregnancy now.

Mind Blown. Pregnancy is weird!

I went from a size 9.5/10 to 11/11.5. It’s so hard to find shoes now. I’ve heard they go back after 3 years so I have some hope I’ll be able to find nice shoes in a couple of years.

Can’t speak from experience yet, but my mom claims she gained a whole shoe size with each kid (2 kids)….I, personally, think she must not remember very well because I really don’t think she had size 5 feet until she had kids. She also claims she felt my brother moving (first pregnancy) from 12 weeks on, and that she was completely showing & in maternity clothes from 14 weeks…so I kinda take what she says with a grain of salt…I mean, is it possible? Maaaaybe…but I don’t know…

lula0508 :  I believe her. I was in maternity clothes at 8 weeks and I am fairly small. I also felt mine move at 12 weeks.

2 pregnancies- no.  Very little swelling as well, although I had a little bit.

Oh no. I hope not. I’m coming into tri 3 soon. I have too many nice shoes to have to start again.

No not at all, but my feet did swell up a ton after delivery! I had to wear slippers to our first two pediatrician appointment!

citysparkle :  I wouldn’t say they grew per se, but I think they widened so that some of my shoes that are tighter in the toes pinch my toes now and they didn’t use to.  So I can’t tell if that’s growth or just my feet widening  ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Either way, something happened.  I usually wear something like crocs towards the end and after my pregnancy until my feet sort themselves out

My shoe size went from 8.5 to 9. I don’t know at what point it happened because my third tri was during the summer when I was wearing flip flops most of the time. I can still wear some, but not all, of my old shoes. The only stretch marks I got were after my C-section and they didn’t stick around. My ring size is the same as well.

I’m really curious when third trimester symptoms like this kick in? I am 33 weeks and have not experienced swelling, etc. Right now I am just tired  🙂

Do women who experience such symptoms have onset closer to the very end of pregnancy?
