- Wedding: September 2009
Yesterday, we walked in to see our wedding planner and paid for our entire wedding CASH. It was SUCH huge weight lifted off of our shoulders seeing as how we have both worked as hard as possible to make sure that it’s paid for with no debts lingering afterward. My Fiance has been amazing and has probably worked 60-70 hour weeks just so money isn’t an issue.
We are also in the process of buying a house (hopefully closing October 5th) but this means that now we…are…broke. I’m definitely happy and so excited for the wedding but when I think about how much money and time we’ve put into it, I wonder why we didnt just save the money and elope? The cashola that we’ve dedicated to this wedding is a HUGE down payment on our house!
I mean, outside of the actual place/food/ceremony itself we’ve spent money for so many miscellaneous things:
GAS (this was a ton, driving everyday to some kind of craft/hobby store)
Gifts for our parents and wedding party.
DIY Projects in between
This list could literally go on forever….
I never thought I would feel this way. Afterall, I am getting the wedding of my dreams right?
Does anyone else/has anyone else looked back and thought the same thing?
