A lot of shows from NPR.  Wait, Wait Don’t Tell Me, Intelligence Squared, How To Do Everything.  I just love NPR, period.

Also 60 Minutes & Stuff You Missed in History Class.

@MrsDrRose612:  We’re HUGE NPR fans. Wait Wait & Ask Me Another are my favorite shows, but I love TAL, too. I tend to like sad stories, though. They did one about a high school in Chicago that’s really gang-ridden. So interesting. Just a few weeks ago there was a good one about White men who marry Asian women. It was really insightful and pretty funny.

Oh man, I LOVE this american life.  Some of my favorites are Music Lessons, Fear of Sleep, and Little Bit of Knowledge.  Here are a couple links on other people’s favorite episodes:

@littletigers:  Ooo thanks! I’m going to look those ones up too!

Before meeting my SO, I thought NPR was all Prairie Home Companion and was like “no thank you!” ๐Ÿ™‚ Now I listen to it even when he’s not around. TAL gets me every time… I get SO frustrated that I can’t finish listening to an episode. With the White man/ Asian woman one we were driving to Starbucks to get some work done and I refused to get out of the car until he pulled up the app on his iPhone so I could listen seamlessly. ๐Ÿ˜›

@MexiPino:  So funny! I hate getting interrupted, too. Have you listened to “Wait! Wait! Don’t Tell Me!” ? It’s also very funny but in a very different way. Worth a listen at least once. I hate when A Prairie Home Companion comes on because it’s two hours long and that’s just so. long. I’m a secret Diane Rehm groupie though, which I’m sure makes me a total nerd.

I’ve been listening to This American Life for about 10 years.  It is definitely my favorite NPR show!  I love the ep Christmas and Commerce, with David Sedaris

@littletigers:  We plan our Sundays around Wait Wait ๐Ÿ™‚ Like, serioiusly. Last week I told my cousin we’d be at her daughter’s birthday party late because we had “another engagement”. Really, though, I just wanted to be sure we’d still be in the car for the whole episode!

But I’m TOTALLY addicted to Ask Me Another. I think we’ve finally listened to all the eps together and I’m BUMMED! It was our “driving aimlessly” show. I guess we’ll have to dive into the Wait Wait archives now. ๐Ÿ™‚
