Hi!
We did something similar for our Save The Dates and it’s hard!!! There are so many depressing things in history!!!
If you aren’t able to find many fun/positive facts on the actual day expand to the month.

Instead of just Google April 27 in history try a specific topic.
Love chocolate try googling something about chocolate with that date
Your favorite team? Try googling that date.

We had fun things like friend’s birthday, NFL inauguration of Hall of Fame, etc.

Fiance found all the cool fun history for our Save The Dates!

Oh my gosh-THANK YOU for this post!

It inspired me to look up our date – June 12th – which I didn’t realize was Loving Day! (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Loving_Day)

As an interracial couple, this is an extra bit of awesome we weren’t expecting. Now…how to incorporate it into the day?!

Thank you so much, 3M 🙂

I like the “fun facts about you & your FI” because there will be many people at the wedding who don’t know each one of you very well, and its cute to do a little “get to know the bride and groom thing”

So you can just list random facts, stories, favorites from each of you growing up & together.

I am going to second the facts about you and your fiance – I would love to learn a little more about the bride and groom at a wedding

I think that doing it about the years you were born is really interesting too.
