I found a great dress that my girls can afford! This has been one of the tricky parts for wedding planning but the problem is the dress only goes up to a size 13 and 2 of my bridesmaids need a larger size than that… is there anything I could do or maybe a way I could find the same dress in a bigger size outside of JCPenney?
Heres the dress and the link

Well, my first thought would be to have it made by someone like DressilyMe or Jeff Liu. I bet it would still be really affordable. It’s a Juniors dress, so I doubt the manufacturer makes larger than a 13.

Maybe try calling the manufacturer and find out if they offer larger sizes?I noticed that it’s junior sizing though? Usually junior’s are cut a little slimmer than womans sizes…so the girls may take a larger size than normal.

How much bigger did you need it? You can have side panels put in, and add a corset back…but you want a great seamstress for that and it will probably get too expensive.
How about a China designer, send them pics and see what they come up with? My cousin did that and got all 5 of her BM’s for less than $200 to her door!

@Bostongrl25: Yeah it’s tough because 2 of the girls are younger (16 and 18 then the other 2 are 20 and 21).
Lol… I’m 26 in a few weeks and I still shop in juniors. I always forget it’s for younger women.
@Aure: I am trying to stay under $100 and most of the things from online dress makers are over that…

@Take The Reins: One of them needs a 20 and the other a 16.
The other 2 bridesmaids asked for a 1 and an 11.
Do you know what designer your cousin used?

I’ve seen Misses dresses like this before. I know ideeli had a flash sale with the company “Nightwing”. They make this dress in straight sizes.
Maybe do a Nordstrom search for black evening gowns. Sadly, it’s not going to be as cheap. But it may also look a lot more expensive as well. Not trying to be rude but juniors clothes often aren’t meant to stand up as well so the a misses and juniors sizing may look a lil off together.

@heather25: Yeah I know what you mean…
My mother looked at the dress to see if she could buy it for my sister (who is one of my bridesmaids) and she made a huge fuss because it costs too much and it’s only $60. =( It looks like I’ll be paying for my little sisters dress now so I really have to keep it very low priced.
