I’m wondering if anyone has seen a real bride somewhere in this dress or even if anyone has seen another model picture of it. This is the only pic I have been able to find and I love this dress! I can’t even find a style name/number (which would help!) but I believe it was special order so maybe there isn’t one? But that doesn’t make sense. Just hoping some of you Google experts might be able to work some magic haha. 🙂
Here’s the link, if that helps : http://www.brides.com/fashion/dresses/gallery/wedding_dresses/editorspick/designer/verawang/detail/169422?offset=40

The blurb beside the pic says Vera Wang by special order…I’m assuming there isn’t a style number if it’s by special order? I may be completely wrong though…

Yea I thought that too but then I was like, Vera has quite a few special-order dresses, so what are you supposed to do when you call to place the order? Try to describe the dress to them? Eh, maybe so. I was just hoping I could find a little more info. I did see a different pic of this dress in a magazine once, but I haven’t been able to find it online.

I think “special order” means it’s specifically designed to a unique design for you, so you wouldn’t be able to just ring up and order it, you’d have to meet the designer, have design sessions, a toile made, etc. I would guess that for Vera Wang you’d be looking at upwards of 10k for that sort of service.
If that’s in your budget, then go for it!
If not, then, depending on your budget, either go to another, smaller designer, or try Etsy, or try a local dressmaker, or a Chinese custom dress site. Is there a fashion school near you? It doesn’t look like a particularly difficult dress to make, so a fashion student/accomplished dress maker might be able to help, if you can source appropriate fabric (I think it’d have to be silk for it to work in that design).
