I am with you all ladies! I have 6 months to the wedding and I need to lose some weight! I have been going to the gym 4-5 times a week and really eating a lot healthier.
Fiance is one of those people who are super slim and that’s just the way he is, because he eats like a total fat kid. Seriously, the other night I went to the gym and he went to the grocery store and came home with a pint of ice cream. Which he then ate while sitting on the couch. Thanks Fiance for your support… LOL. I hope our future children get his metabolism!

mine charges $70 for the first visit because it’s longer (more than an hour) and then all the visits cost me $40. I know medical care in the Continental US is way more expensive but I doubt nutritionists charge that much more.
I normally see her every 3 months or so. When all the math is done it is a very small investment in keeping myself healthy and in shape. She knows what I like and what I don’t in terms of food. She is also aware of my crazy food allergies so she always helps me find things I like and ways to mix things I don’t love in a way I might like.
There are some really good sports nutritionists that are working worldwide via Skype with their clients. I know one who is based in the US. For those that have a time crunched life it seems to work great.

@lalalyanne: I’m with you! Last year this time I just joined my gym… and over the following few months I got very serious and lost 20 pounds. Now I’ve been stagnant since the summer. I think I got to a more comfortable weight and lost my motivation. I haven’t gained, but I certainly haven’t lost…. and my goal weight is still 10 pounds away! Not to mention my dress just came in.
Time to get back on the wagon. Every time I turn around I have another reason to wait… first the holidays, then I got sick, then we had a snow storm, now I have my period…. it’s just enough with the excuses. This time last year I would have found a way around any one of those hurdles, because my dedication was there. It’s high time I found that motivation again!

good for you! I need to start getting in shape. I spent most of last year training for races, but I didn’t do much other than run. I just signed up for some races that will keep me occupied all year, so I need to get back into running but I want to do some strength training too. I need to get my butt to the gym!

I’m a couple of days late to the thread but I’m in with all of you lovely motivated bees! I was pretty motivated at the start of the year, and Mr. H and I have kept up the workouts and mostly healthy eating (cheating only about 1x/week). However, my dad who is a diabetic just found out that he is very likely looking at complete blindness in the near future if he doesn’t get his health and fitness on track. That made me really sad but also motivated me a ton! So my newest motivation: I will NOT let food decide my future! I will NOT let processed, junky, fake foods go into my body, and I WILL be healthy and happy!
TOWANDAAAAA! (Lol, sorry for the Fried Green Tomatoes reference…well, sorry I’m not sorry anyway)
