There is one on the David’s Bridal website that has long dark brown hair. She is so skinny it makes the dress she is wearing ugly.. Or actually I don’t know what the dress looks like because every picture she is in I just can’t get over how skinny she is.

Yikes! You’d think they could have at least photo shopped her shoulder bones!  The hard angles don’t do that curvy dress any justice!

It really upsets me to see women tear other women apart.  She’s not the worst model ever.  After all, she has work.

Models don’t come up with these poses and they sure don’t photoshop themselves.

When you complain about the images you see in campaigns, I think you should blame the company, not the model.  The photographer coaxed her into that position and someone retouched the heck out of it, too.  The company clearly thinks this is the image that best represents their aesthetic.  I think the company should get your criticism, not the woman who is wearing the dress.

@inspiredcreations:  I believe her collarbone is photoshopped.  When something looks totally unnatural, I think that’s a sign that there’s been some manipulation.

@MissTBee: Also photoshopped.  That’s David’s Bridal’s decision, not the model’s doing.

Holy crap, that girl has been photoshopped WAY too much. Whoever thinks that looks good is freak. What are these companies thinking? Why do they do that to models??

I mean look at her arms, they’re so long that if she straightened them out they would be down to her knees. It looks like they stuck a giant torso onto a tiny dress. O.o

I agree with Mink, this model was posed by photographers, and the photo was selected by the company.  I’m sure she doesn’t love her collarbone in the shot, either.

In agreement with  @mink: We are really hard on each other as women.

@mink:  I totally agree with you and it’s nice to see someone get it. These girls are just doing their job. I’ve been modeling since I was fifteen years old and there is nothing worse than been called out for being “not a real woman”, clearly, we are real women too. Evidentally, the choice in model and the pictures they ended up selecting (out of a slew of others with different poses) reflects the designer’s desire to be portrayed as more “high fashion”.

Ill agree the possing is not pretty and this is fairly standard with bridal shots. If people have problems I really think you should write the company and tell them what you think. I am extremely pro healthy weight models so girls if youve got a problem with skinny ones lets support the healthy ones.
