<3 your place cards <3

can you have cactus centerpieces? i would seriously die.

i think it’s tough with budget constraints and your venue to mothership it up. i would suggest finding a bunch of jobless wooks on tour and paying them to hang LED lanterns the morning of your wedding but they’d probably forget to show up ๐Ÿ™‚

seriously though, do you have a group of people you could recruit to hang LED lanterns? ive seen threads on here where people have done them on the cheap, but with your venue in order for it to work you’d need them EVERYWHERE.

hey guys!

not sure how i missed this thread. I didnt realize there were so many of us. Starbright – we talked a few months back, but hi to everyone else!

We didnt really do a ton of phish related stuff at the wedding purely because there were only a handful of people at the wedding who would either understand it or who like the music and go to shows as well.

We did have our band (who were awesome and definitely did some jamming, if you are looking for a band in the northeast i HIGHLY recommend them. As You Like It.) play Possum and Loving Cup. They also played alot of Talkingheads and Stevie Wonder to help lively up the dancing.

We are also Biscuits fans, so I embroidered lyrics from Above the Waves on our ring pillow. A nice way to incorporate a band that are so integral in who we are as a couple, but not enough to alienate the people who have NO idea who the biscuits are. (picture below)

I wanted to do a few other cute things but didnt end up happening. We thought about making stir rods for the cocktail hour with little flags that said “Party Time!” Another subtle way to include it so certain people get it and other dont get confused.

Cactus centerpieces are really cute. Subtle, but cool for those who get it! Not too mention, cactuses rule. Like succulents.
