Thanks! I am soooo trying this, maybe this weekend! I’ve been in a cooking frenzy lately.

Made my first attempt at true sourdough bread, you have to make the sourdough starter a week ahead of time so I never bothered…it was great.  I usually just make honey-buttermilk bread.

This popcorn chicken recipe is stellar–soaking in the buttermilk breaks down the chicken and makes it super tender.

Also have made some really good beef bourguignon with red wine in the crock pot, made it with filet mignon.

and this is my alltime fave pineapple upside down cake!

PS–anyone have a GOOD, tender, fluffy, flaky biscuit recipe? I have tried a thousand times they always come out too hard.  Even when I barely handle them, use baking powder, cold butter, shaved egg yolk…just can’t get them how I like.

Yum, that red wine velvet cake looks like something I will try during the holidays.

I made red velvet pancakes with cream cheese glaze for Darling Husband this weekend…. they were delish. I got them from a box mix from Target.

Tonight’s unusual creation is marshmallow krispy treats with candy corn accents. Not diet friendly but definitely yummy!

@sehrler  How are you cutting the butter into the flour?  Do you use your hands, or do you use a mixer/food processor, or even a pastry blender?
