You do understand that most of these so-called prizes are just to get business, right?

@adnama:  Eww! I cant stand Mary Kay parties/makeup so when I started getting the “Youve won a beauty session with your bridal party” calls, I either ignored them until they stopped or told them over the phone that I was not interested. I dont like being pressured into buying anything, ever. Especially with that stupid husband protection plan, which is a HORRIBLE thing to suggest to a newlywed or newlywed to be.

Ugh. That happened to me too. The woman was really persistant. I had to see her again to get one of the products (I actually really like the products!), and she tried to pressure me into becoming a Mary Kay lady. She complimented my personality and all this BS. It took me months to shake her. Now even if I want more of the stuff I don’t want to contact her. Plus, I got a huge discount for being the “hostess.” I don’t think I’d pay full price, haha.

@adnama:  LOL! Unfortunately I fell into the same Mary Kay trap!! I had two of my girlfriends over and the exact same thing happened.  We all felt pressured to buy stuff and we did.  You live and learn I guess!

So yea I “won” this too…but called back right after she said you anf six close friends win a day of pampering! Something was too good to be true and asked her who would do the facials…she said we would be doing them on ourselves and a Mary Kay rep wouldnt even touch us…I cancelled on spot. Blah

@adnama: I only bought a lip gloss – my girlfriend bought like $80 of face creams and stuff but she said she needed it anyway.  The MK lady keeps calling and emailing to invite us to parties and stuff, but I just ignore her.

I do love their aloe vera bar. I have used it for years. Great for makeup removal and doesn’t sting your eyes at all.

There are soooo many of these so called “prizes” at these bridal shows. Seriously, Ive been getting calls from Mens Warehouse for MONTHS about booking tuxes after I filled out a form stating that I would be needing tuxes at some point in the future. SERIOUSLY. TAKE THE HINT AND STOP CALLING. I “won” Mary Kay party crap, some other facial company, a month long gym membership, and more. I dont want to be pressured into doing anything so please just leave me alone!!!
