@libby328:  STEP.AWAY.FROM.THE.’BEE.

there are so many rings here and looking through them all will NOT help you. It will confuse you more and make you less confident in any choice you make. Go to a jewelry store and try some on. Don’t think about other people or compare your ring to theirs. You have taste all your own….

I see such beautiful halos and other really dramatic rings and I DROOL but then I realize, I have really small fingers, in all other aspects of my life, I am rather simple in style and not sparkly, so to speak, so in the end, I really loved a more simple setting…but I do love seeing all these other rings!

This is not my ring (in fact I’m not yet engaged), just a ring I tried on, but it’s 1.1ct RBC and I’m size 6.5ish. Actually the stone is moissanite, but it looks just like the diamond one I tried so it doesn’t really make a difference.

As for you not being able to make up your mind, I HEAR YA. I was dead set on a princess cut soliatire and was really bored with RBC, but now I love it and also am loving those halos, paved, not paved, different cuts, coloured gems, thick bands, thin bands, bezel settings, cathedral settings, white gold, yellow gold, purple gold blah blah blah. I literally want them all.

Let me know when you figure out what can be done about these yearnings.

I don’t have anything to post, but what ring would be best for your lifestyle and your general style?  Are you active?  If so, maybe something low-maintenance like a solitaire would be best.  Is your style flashier?  Then maybe you want a halo.  Do you like more detailed, unique things?  Then maybe go for the braided pave band.

I also do not have anything to post yet.  But, I get what you’re saying.  I am doing the SAME thing!  We are trying to pick something out and I can’t make up my mind.  Everytime I think I’ve made a decision, I change it.  I think I’ve changed my mind at least 35 times. LOL

I don’t have anything in your parameters to share, but I know how you feel!  I got to pick my setting after being given my diamond in a solitaire ‘presentation’ setting for the proposal.   I debated it for months, it was so ridiculous of me!

 My advice is to try them on, you’d be surprised how different things look on the internet. Rings I really liked online didn’t appeal to me at all once they were on my hand.  Also, if there are different elements you like you can always combine them.  I ended up getting a custom ring because I wanted a bunch of different things I couldn’t find in any rings I found.  And after you find one you love you just have to stop looking or you’ll make yourself crazy, same with the wedding dress I guess!

LOL the more you try to make a decision the harder it gets!!  I went from wanting a princess cut center with side stones and a pave band and completely hating round cuts and being indifferent to halo’s, to falling in love with a round in a cushion halo and pave band!!  And the more I’m on the bee, the more I think ‘Hmm…maybe I’d like a round solitaire instead’ but I just laugh it off and move on.

I’d stop looking on here for ideas, and go into a jewelry store and see what looks the best ON because it makes a huge difference.  Good luck!!
