Due to school/work/distance, I’m not having a traditional bachelorette party, which I was a little bummed about but okay with. I have a very small but tight-knit group of friends, so it’s not like I’d ever have a stretch limo of Woo Girls toting a big inflatable peen – not that there’s anything wrong with that 🙂
Well, one of my BMs texted me today asking if I wanted to get together the week of my wedding. So now, a small bachelorette party is in the works for the Thursday before our Saturday wedding. I just have to be sure to not drink a lot! While my group of friends is small, we are former SEC sorority girls so we know how to party. Our rehersal isn’t until 5pm on Friday so I should be good, but still…I’ve gotta be careful.
I’m exited, though, and so greatful for my sweet friends.

@StL.Ashley: nah that sounds perfectly fine to me! As long as you don’t have to work on Friday?? Get the party started and make it a long wedding weekend yay! Early congrats!

@wrkbrk: oh god no! No, Fiance and I live/work in NJ so we’re flying to St. Louis the Wednesday before our wedding to relax and drop stuff off at our DOC.

@StL.Ashley: awesome! Where are your girls taking you?? (I’m in stl!).

@wrkbrk: I don’t know. They suggested lumiere, but I live right outside of Atlantic city so casinos are kinda old news. I suggested BARcelona (I love and miss it so much!) and then somewhere for cocktails or wine. Maybe moonrise or 360 if it’s nice out.

My best friend did this and she was absolutely fine (and we definitely had a good amount to drink). It was just the only thing that made sense, as a lot of her bridesmaids and friends were coming in from out of town.

- Wedding: August 2013 - Wynn Las Vegas
I did this, got totally hammered, and was too hungover to go to my rehearsal lunch. OOPS. That’s Vegas for you…I was fine the Saturday, though.

I’ve heard taking lots of Vit B before and after going out helps with a hangover…I usually take two of my normal daily vitamin and it seems to help!

We were living out of state and having the wedding back in-state so we did our bachelor/ette parties the day before the rehearsal also (2 days before the wedding) and i indulged pretty heavily in the booze, but was still so excited to decorate, etc. that i got up the next day and went on ignoring the hangover that i was nursing! We were all fine by the rehearsal dinner, and even better come wedding morning =)

@StL.Ashley: BARcelona is the best! I vote for that! Haha. Or Sasha’s. Somewhere for wine!

You know your own limits… have fun but don’t get too trashed 🙂
