… but, any tips on taking progress photos. I decided to start this in order to keep myself acountable and on track, and I realized that I’m horrible at it, and there must be a technique that I don’t know about. Getting a good shot from behind seems next to impossible.

I would say wear the same clothes, maybe a sports bra and shorts and have your Fiance or a good friend help you out with taking them.

Try setting the timer on your camera and putting it on a countertop or chair. You can look through the viewer to see where you need to stand.

Timer & tripod/sturdy surface, or have a your Fiance take the photos. Don’t try to selfie it.
Make sure you take them at a time and in a location where you get plenty of natural light. If you use a flash it will wash out all the detail of the photo, which is useless.
I agree with the tip about wearing the same/similar clothes in each photo.
