It might look a little odd since it’s SO similar. Looks more like a stunt ring. BUT if you put a colored stone in there, or maybe chose a more elaborate design and still go the marquis route just so they stand apart from each other… They are both beautiful. Really.

I’m not engaged. But I recently bought this ring as a right hand ring and my guy had commented that it would be similar to my engagement ring. Not identical. Just similar. If you absolutely love the RHR you found I say go for it! If you have doubts? Maybe keep looking. And don’t worry about it taking away from your engagement ring. It’s too special to have the spotlight taken away from it. πŸ™‚

It might seem strange to some people but I really like the idea and I would do the same. I have an Emerald cut engagement ring which I LOVE LOVE LOVE. Its my fave cut diamond. In my fiances family its a tradition to give another ring upon the birth of the first baby. I know when that time comes I will be getting another Emerald cut which I will wear on my right hand.

If thats what you love then do it! x

Both of my rings are (roughly) the same size princess cut diamonds, and I wear both my E Ring and RHR everday, but mine are different enough I suppose to not look funny…here’s pics (because I can’t resist LOL) and you can see what you think.  Sorry they’re so huge!!  I would go with something slightly different for a RHR, like side stones or in a different color, 2 solitaires would probably raise questions.

Yes I think it would be wierd. I wonder if it would hurt your fiances feelings if you  bought another one similar….maybe he would think you are trying to replace the ring he bought you?

Have you thought about maybe getting a marquies cut colored stone ring?? I google image searched some and although I have no idea if these are your style they have the beautiful cut stone with a bit of a twist πŸ˜€

My mom got me a right hand ring for christmas, it is a green amethyst in a halo setting with a pave band. My e-ring is a diamond in a halo with a pave split shank band. They are similar, but not the same. When I wear them at the same time, it does not look wierd, it just looks like I really like halo settings! She even asked if I thought it would be too similar to my e-ring, but I said, the more halo, the better!

@Whitanella: Great idea! Those are a similar idea, but not such a close match to the e-ring. I think they would look great on the right hand of the OP, especially with her e-ring.
