No matter how old I am I will always be 7 years younger than my FI!

Love Theme from a Star Is Born by Barbra Streisand.  Darn, I missed Dancing Queen by Abba by 14 days!!!  That would have explained a lot.

I will be 34 on my wedding day, and Fiance is 28;) I don’t look my age, but I still KNOW my age. Some days it bother me, some days not so much .As far as the getting married at my age part, I make myself feel better when I realize that getting married at 22 is almost ALWAYS a bad idea. Sorry, but it’s true – you don’t know yourself well enough at that age to make that kind of commitment, or know what you really want/need from a relationship. Not trying to be catty, but that’s the reason I don’t let it bother me when I see “kids” running around making wedding plans.

lol @ kellyrwn, as i did get married at 21….and divorced at 28. and while it does make me ‘sad’ to get married to the guy i know i should be with for the rest of my life at 30, and ‘start over’, i would do it all over again just to get to him. πŸ™‚ it’s all about perspective i guess.

Haha, you should all come live in Sweden! Here we get married in our 30s. It´s actully quite strange and rare for someone to be married under the age of 27.

We reson that you have to live a little first. Life is both short and long! I had so much to do in my 20s, why would I get married? One have to study, travel, party, find a good job, have time to make great friendships, find a great man, live together for a while to see if you really match… and then get married. I’m one of the first ones amongst my friends getting married and I’m 31. I think it’s perfect.

Mine? ABC by the Jackson 5. May 1970. /twitch

I’m 10 years older than my Fiance, and I find it hysterical that everyone always thinks he’s older. 90% of the time I don’t have to explain my pop-culture to him, because for some reason, he already knows it all! Then again, everyone swears I’m younger than i am, so I guess it all evens out. ^^;

It still makes my brain hurt (and I’ll admit, wounds the ego a bit), going to talk to some vendors and they ask me “second marriage for you?” Um, no. Deal. πŸ˜› Thankfully, all the vendors I DID hire are age-blind. πŸ˜€

Older than you all. Les sighs.

Wow, I just looked mine up and it was “Whatever gets you through the night” by John Lennon.  That one shocked me.  1974!

You Light Up My Life by Debby Boone.  I don’t mind my 30’s at all actually.  I feel bad for all those 20-somethings trying to figure stuff out still hehe!  Laughing

Not to hijack the thread but boy did I find kellyrwn’s post offensive, insanely close-minded, and just flat-out wrong.

I was blown away by the Paula Abdul and Sinead O’Connor confusions too, and I’m only 21.  Don’t people know good old music?!  I was born and raised on music from 1955-1973ish and still listen to it more than anything else.  BEST MUSIC.  I loved seeing all the posts in that thread from the older brides because it was stuff I actually liked listening to. πŸ˜›

Bellenga, you’re awesome.  I loved the California Raisins!   (But I hate real raisins.  Yuck.)  Thanks for the laugh!

And @danadelphia, unless Tony and Dawn were really busy in 1975, I think you and I are week twins.  Eeh, we’re not “ancient,” we’re just seasoned.  Or aged.  Or experienced.  Or something . . . Laughing
