I know exactly how you feel! I was born in 78. I think my song was from the Grease soundtrack, if I remember right. (See- poor short term memory- I am getting old.)
Even though I may feel a little old with all of these young whippersnappers on these boards, so far, my 30s have been the best time of my life!

Hahaha…I saw that thread and was horrified by how old it made me feel, too. I think the biggest shock for me was that one or more people in the thread thought New Kids on the Block was a new group!
Though, when I looked it up, I’d never heard of my song, either — Let’s Do It Again, by The Staple Singers. It apparently enjoyed one whole week at #1, over New Years, 1976.
My fiance and my sister, on the other hand, get Gypsies, Tramps, and Thieves by Cher. That is so not fair!

I didn’t see the thread…but I’m lovin’ this one!
I was born in ’78 while my Boyfriend or Best Friend (still a waiting bee) was born in ’82. We have trouble talking about things like…cartoons we grew up on.
Although I do feel old, I’m glad I’ve waited. While with my college bf, we decided to wait until I graduated to get married and moved back home. We broke up w/i 6 mos! I am a very different person than I was then. I’d like to think I’ve matured and learned more about myself….but then I still love the Gummi Bears, He-Man, and Voltron!
For the record, I did freak out when I watched “Happy Feet.” I think the music selection was targeted at the “current parents” age group. Then I started to realize that I like the shows on NickatNite now!

The first Billboard number one song for 1974 was on January 12, The Joker- Steve Miller Band. I love being a classic. My Fiance has Barbara Striesands, The Way we were which was from 2/2-2/8 (he is 2/8/74). Not sue we can add that song to the playlist….

HA! Try being 50 and be on this board! Try going to a bridal shop at 50! It was so weird that I got EVERYTHING online just to avoid everyone making me feel old! YOU are still young, enjoy it!

OK I was born in 1973, will have just turned 38 on my wedding day. Fiance is 10 yrs older. I don’t look my age, still get ID’d but that much more often when Im with him since he does look his…..lol….. I agree with the comment made about being married before and starting over at 30 to thr ight guy. I married at 20, divorced by 27. Wouldnt change it for the world because my son was born fom that marriage and as I tell Fiance, had I met him 20 years ago I wouldnt have given him a second chance becasue I had my priorities mixed up!! LIfe hasnt been easy but I am where I belong, truly til death do us part!! Age is a number, state of mind is what makes us
