Not exaggerating, I’ve tried on roughly 70 dresses so far and all the really pretty lace and beaded ones have been over $1000, and the cheaper ones (satin and whatnot) just haven’t looked great on me. I was about to break down and shell out the $1400 for Sottero and Midgley Clementine, and I don’t know if it was divine intervention, but my credit cards were declined (due to being out of state).
On a whim went to a sample sale today and found this Maggie dress for $599! I think it’s going to be the best priced dress I can find with that vintage vibe going on, and it won’t need too drastic alterations. What do you guys think? Or should I have gone for something else?

Gorgeous! Love the cap veil too, by the way. Seeing it makes me almost wish I were going with a different dress so I could wear one.
